We are about 15 minutes from river access to the Yadkin river for anyone looking to Kayak. There are lots of local fishing holes and places to go horseback riding. We are about an hour drive to lots of different hiking trails from pilot mountain, and hanging rock to the blue ridge parkway. We have 2 dogs that live here and will greet you at the gate. Please be respectful of the neighbors and drive slowly down the dirt road to our property to limit dust. We look forward to hosting your camping get away.

Overview

Midway between Charlotte and Greensboro, Salisbury is the best base camp for exploring North Carolina’s lake country. Relax in comfort at a private cabin rental near High Rock Lake, complete with picnic tables and a firepit. For a more rustic experience, set up at tent sites in private woods near town. A day trip to Dunn’s Mountain Park is easy from any Salisbury campground, especially for campers who want to catch a great view. Take in the 83 acres of parkland from picnic areas and trails up to the lookout. Just 15 minutes east of town, Dan Nicholas Park features a nature center, aquarium, and carousel in addition to 330 acres of nature. Stay on-site in one of six cabins and enjoy cozy beds, heating, and a refrigerator, or reserve a RV site in the wooded campground for a night under the trees. The park includes access to Lake Murtis, where anglers can fish for bream and catfish, while the rest of the group heads out on a paddleboat.
