Lake Lookout Campground

Lake Lookout is a small family campground with waterfront and water access RV and tent sites in Claremont, NC.  We also have a furnished RV and furnished cabin available for short term rentals. 
Excellent fishing, swimming, kayaking, and boating on the Catawba River and Lookout Shoals Lake 
We are in the process of improving the facilities and expand the campground area. Please pardon our construction, we are in the process of bringing more amenities to Lake Lookout! 

Located only 7-minutes off I-40, in the Foothills of North Carolina. Stay on the water surrounded by nature but still be close to everything. 20 minutes to Hickory, 60 minutes to Charlotte, Winston Salem, or Asheville. 

We currently have  waterfront RV and tent sites. 30 amp electric and water hookups. There is a dump station on site also, no sewer hookups due to proximity to the water. 

Boat ramp access on site included with rental. Extra parking area for boat trailers. Bath house. 

Community lake front area with shoreline access, volleyball and horseshoe pits for all campers.

A short drive to River Bend Park for Hiking and biking trails.

The Uwharrie Hideout

Sebastian Springs Retreat

We bought this amazing 2.5 acre wooded land with a spring and creek on it from our friends who already had a huge healing impact on the land. This land is quiet, it is in a neighborhood and back up to a cow farm.  Everyone keeps to themselfs,  we have three other rentals on the property to share community areas.

This is our story , well I have this land its 6.43 acres . This is how it all started there was a hippie fest going on in town and it was posted on social media . Someone posted they were looking for a place to camp but they didnt have camping at the fairgrounds where the event was . So I messaged this person and said I have a big yard maybe they could camp here but I have no facilities water toilet etc. We spoke and the gentleman said he would like to do that him and his group . I have never done anything like this  they paid me to stay ,but before I knew it I had 32 people coming here 2 pop up campers a 30 ft pull behind and 12 tents WOW . So of course I had to get the porta toilet thats how it ended up down there . The weather was threatening us so some people cancelled but in all we ended up with 16 people here it was a fun time for all . Thats when I decided to join hipcamp now we are on our hipcamp journey . My fiance Henry built a shelter and  a rain barrel water isnt drinkable , as time goes on we will be cleaning out more of the land for more camp sites . Hope y'all come visit . UPDATES !!! We have added Glamping to the site a 30 ft 2021 Coleman Camper , This will be a separate listing  but its here !!!

The ripple of the water over the rocks makes for great sounds for snoozing...

The Oasis at Harmon Creek Farms



Update: Our new BATHHOUSE now has a functioning flush toilet!!🛖 Pictures are coming soon, but it will also house a shower, sink, and dressing area, and is centrally located in front of the office at the pond. We're doing this to prove WE LOVE OUR CAMPERS! ❤

In addition, two new nicely wooded sites with pond view are now available to provide easy access even during periods of heavy rain. If the creek area floods, we will move your reservation there. :)🏕

Pitch your tent, van or popup on or near the bank of our creek or pond with lots of shade and complete privacy. You can drive right up to most sites, weather permitting. You will have access to a fire ring and picnic table (located at each site), firewood for sale on site (please do not bring firewood from off-site),  clean drinking water (located near the pond), the creek to explore, our pond to fish, and wooded trails to hike. Once roamed by Native Americans and now farmed by the same family for over 6 generations, Harmon Creek Farm is a working farm of over 150+ acres. Peace, quiet, tranquility and privacy are overflowing along the creek, and hiking throughout the hills on the backside of the farm (and on the other side of the creek) leads to interesting and abundant flora and fauna. The stocked, spring fed pond is 'brimming" with angler challenges🎣 

  Our cows, pigs, sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks, quail, and geese are all eager to meet you, as are we! We currently have fresh eggs, pork and beef for sale on site as well as cured and smoked bacon. We will soon add fresh organically raised vegetables and herbs in season. The Sacred Path

This land was purchased by my parents over 55 years ago. At the time is was a 48 acre farm. It belonged to a bootlegger. I was just seven years old when we came to live here on the "farm" as I have called it all my life. It was loved by family until my fathers' passing 5 years ago. My husband Terry and I came back to the farm to be with my father in his final years. Terry and I have continued  loving and caring for the land. This property backs to a 200 acre nature reserve and 600 acres of natural forest. It has a 30 foot creekside overlook and a beachfront at the creek. The is lots of nature to be heard and seen. We have resident foxes, a blue heron that frequents the pond, egrets, kingfisher, a bobcat, raccoons, crows, birds, fireflies, and (bear were seen last fall). It is beautiful land with rolling hills and horses grazing in the pastures.Learn more about this land:Come and pitch your tent in our park like setting by the pond and springs. You will feel the sacred breeze kiss your face and you will be re-energized, your energy restored and re-charged. This is a very special and sacred ground, if you allow it, you will feel the energy shift the moment you step foot onto the grounds. we welcome you to come stay, relax and visit or just retreat into meditation.
