Beautiful campground. When it's not full many of the sites feel very private. Good hiking out of the park and an easy trek from NYC with a car. The brook runs through the campground so most sites are near the water as it winds around.

The brook runs through the grounds and can be explored via a trail that follows and then diverges from the main road that runs the length of the park.Open but with plenty of space between sites.

Comfortable location, green and tree-filled goodness. The little office in therapy is staffed by helpful friendly people who will hook you up with local trail information in the Berkshires and onto the nearby Appalachian trail along with the awesome circuit hike right there in the park. At the end of the trail the cool river is nice to drop your heated up body into and cool off. Chill vibe all around and nearby Kent is easy to stock up on goods and a decent little town to visit so something for everyone here. Thumbs up.

Great views after a short vertical and an awesome spot to hang with friends.. and photo bombers! hahaThe circuit hike here is home to a fabulous collection of natural hiking sticks... the ground is covered with them and many are left near the trailhead which makes for a fun addition to any hike. No tent? No problem! With backpack gear in my storage unit I got a $7 tarp and parachord and built a sweet lean-to shelter in Connecticut gaining badass girl points with trail mates. Awesome circuit hike with both water and nearby Appalachian trail access. The Appalachian Trail runs through the park... blue markers help keep you on route too...
