Description

Escape the crowds and settle in at Chilcoot Campground, one of five campgrounds located at the Frenchman Lake Recreation Area in the Plumas National Forest. Set away from the lake, Chilcoot sits at a breathtaking 5,100 feet amongst alder, cottonwood and pine trees. It’s remote, woodsy location that winds along the Last Chance Creek is the best of both worlds. Hike, bike, swim, fish, or trek down to the lake–either way it’s a win-win. And we like winning.

Camped here summer 2018. BEAUTIFUL creek-side sites under luscious shade trees. The creek wraps around the right of the campgrounds, around the back, you can't see it from the road until you get to the back. The camp hosts are a really great couple.
