This is a perfect stopping point for cyclists and other traveling groups as we are located along the Peach Tree Trail or along the coastal route of 101.
We are happy to host your group just as a campsite, but for larger groups we can also offer, vineyard and winery tours, barrel tasting, cheese pairings , and more! We had a short but sweet stay at Pianetta Ranch. Everyone we dealt with, from reservation to on-site, went out of their way to be good hosts. We used the site as a halfway point on our way from the Bay Area further south and weren't disappointed.
At night we sat by a roaring fire made of old vines, drank a bottle of estate wine we purchased from the owners, and were surrounded by the sound of crickets and distant frogs. The owners had a knack for sensing when we needed assistance and when we wanted our privacy. We'd stay here again.
I would highly recommend staying at the ranch! It is absolutely gorgeous and John and katelyn are so welcoming and accommodating! The campsite has a grill, fire pit, showers, and bathroom and is in the middle of a vineyard - the sunsets are amazing!! John offers tour and tastings of his winery - the wine is delicious and we learned so much about his winemaking process and history. This is a really special and beautiful place and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend!

I'll give the highest possible rating to Pianetta Ranch & Winery Camp. It was the best overnight camping trip ever and just a few short hours away from our home. How often does the opportunity come along where camping is paired with wine? The ranch is serene and relaxing with lots of space to spread out. Upon arrival, they greet you, show you around a bit and provide a packet of information about their property, their wine and the local area. The communal area is set up behind the owner's home, in an open space along rows of cabernet vines, with a shaded area below a large oak tree. There are picnic tables, a heavy duty cooking grill and firepit . They supply firewood for both cooking and for the firepit. I really enjoyed the outdoor showers and appreciated the traditional bathroom instead of an outhouse. There were other campers which made hanging by the firepit entertaining. What a nice time we had. I would return often if I could. The owners created a wonderful and memorable time for all. John is great at educating his guests on the many aspects and nuances that make good wine possible. Thank you John and Caitlin for having us!
We had a great stay. The owners were nothing but pleasant, welcoming, and helpful during our 2 night stay there. We got a tour of the winery and got to taste the good stuff directly from the barrel. Hot showers, clean bathroom. Will absolutely stay here again.
What an amazing spot to be (moon and) star gazing!
Caitlin & co are very friendly and we got to buy wines directly from the wine hall, where it all happens. They have great wines and unique product with the Jug Wine: perfect for picnics and camping! But there's no push to purchase, so if you are just there to camp, it's just the huge dog and the beautiful surroundings by a campfire (wood provided).
And I love the propane showers!
I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Pianetta Ranch & Winery. John, Caitlin, and Beau are fantastic hosts, and Kelly was a great contact to have while organizing our stay. Everyone was so friendly and made sure we were comfortable. About an hour after arriving at camp, we were able to do a wine tasting with both John and Caitlyn. We had a great time sampling their amazing wines, and learned so much about wine while chatting with them! They have great stories to tell.
We spent two nights camping under a big oak tree right next to the cabernet grapes. There is a wood grill, a fire pit, three heated showers, three picnic tables, and a very nice bathroom for you to use (the nicest I have ever used while camping). They provided us with old grape vines to use as firewood. Beau (the dog) kept us company for much of our stay, and everyone in our group adored her.
I can't say enough good things about the hospitality of John and Caitlin, or about their beautiful ranch and delicious wine!

Really nice place! Beautiful spot conveniently located along the Central Coast if you're road tripping the 1. The host was very welcoming and friendly, and if we'd had more time, we would have liked to try the wine. Highly recommended!
My partner and I had a lovely weekend stay at the winery. Caitlin was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Firewood was provided, and the iron BBQ grill worked great. The outdoor showers were hot, and the bathroom was clean. We also really enjoyed cavorting with the winery dog, Bo.
The camping area is a large, flat area adjacent to the vineyards and the owners' house. There is very little shade available, so be aware if you're visiting during the summer (it was 90+ degrees and very sunny during our stay in early September).
Overall we had a great time, and would love to visit again next time we're in the area.
Great experience! The site is very well maintained and has a great fire bit as well as a grill, along with a few picnic tables. There is also a heated outdoor shower. The owners are great, very helpful and provide info about the area, had a good time chatting with them. The property is beautiful as well, would definitely come back.
