The vibe at Campo Alto Campground
Drop some Campo Alto Campground knowledge on us.
Absolutely beautiful and serene! We camped at the beginning of September and it got reallllly cold at night. The bathroom was clean. We were told by a camp neighbor that we needed a fire permit so we drove down to the Apache fire station to get one for free, but you can also do it online. To our understanding, there is currently a mama & baby bear that frequent the campsite at night so be sure to put ALL food and smelly items up in your car when you go to bed and don't leave your pups outside your tent or RV when she may be cruising for some snacks. Overall a great experience and we are gonna go back for sure.
Stunning place to reconnect with nature. The drive up there was so beautiful. We were the only people camping at Campo Alto last night so we threw an impromptu concert and sang while playing guitar overlooking the clouds below. The camping spots are well spaced and each have their own charm. The bathrooms were sparse and very clean. I can't wait to return! xx The Wandering Yogis
