This two room cabin has a covered patio between the bunkers - a great spot to relax in the shade next to the creek. Each air-conditioned room has a twin bed and a large padded cot. Bring your sleeping bags or we can provide bags for $5/per bed.

Share the communal kitchen, bathroom/shower house and fire pit.  Has its own shade porch and picnic table.  Just steps from the creek.

Each room sleeps two, can be booked for one side separately for $45, or add two to your group for an additional $10 per person in the other side.  If you only want to use the one room, the other room will be available for other campers separate from your party.

Our ranch is 120 acres in Big Bend, Shasta County, located adjacent to the Shasta Trinity National Forest. We have a Tree Farm, hydroelectric power plant, a sawmill, cattle, llamas, goat, pigs, chickens, gardens, and orchards.  If you come in late June you can pick cherries at our neighbor's. The blackberries start ripening in mid-July. If you forget anything, just ask us, or the Pit Stop Store is just 3 miles back into town.  They carry beer, bait, ice cream, and anything else you might want.  Doug's motto is "if we ain't got it, you don't need it".  Open 9-6.

The Forest Service Road through our ranch leads to the Nat'l Forest to the north, as well as a walking trail to our local swimming hole.  A short walk or drive and you can be at Hunt Hot Springs to the south of us (clothing optional).  Or drive a little further up the hill to Iron Canyon Reservoir, where you can fish, swim, kayak, launch a boat, or just hang out and have a picnic. BUT DON'T TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THERE! IT IS CLOSED!

We're looking forward to sharing our little slice of paradise with you!

Great host. Great Ranch.
We stayed there for one night. Reached at around 11:00. I recommend to plan your arrival before sunset to not get lost. Woke up to a great view of the creek and ranch. Nora served us home baked breakfast and Scott took us on a ranch tour to see lamas, yes Lamas!!!
Cattle, farms , power house, pool holes. Sad we only could spend few hours during the day.
Totally worth it.

Camp Stoney Meadows combines the best of both worlds-- an isolated, forested escape with access to modern facilities. We enjoyed the calm views of the creek, llamas and goats grazing, and pizza in Scott's homemade wood fire oven. Nora and Scott were excellent hosts and went out of their way to make us comfortable, offering everything from bedding to cookware and olive oil. You won't regret your time as a guest on their 160 acres. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Can’t ask for a better location when the farm is right next to a creek and has a few llamas to hangout with.
We were lucky enough to be there on a night where Scott was making pizza in a firewood over and got to taste a slice packed with vegetables grown in their garden.
Make sure you drive up the 20mi on the road even when it turns into a dirt road and you will be sure to make it to the right place.

Thanks, Julian. We didn't meet, but good to know my pizza was a hit. Especially, thank you for the comment about driving the whole 20 miles. It's totally worth it if you do. Lots of folks seem to have a hard time with that. Constant improvements are in the works for signage, markers, etc. But we don't wan't to make it to "official-looking". Hope you'll come back soon. Nora.

If you are on the fence about booking this site, I recommend booking it! Scott and Nora are lovely hosts who are experienced in hosting guests. We stayed in the Creekside Bunkhouse and it was just what we needed: a homey accommodation with two sleeping arrangements (one for me and one for my boyfriend). There are so many photo opps at this location - the scenic river and mountains, farm animals, and their lovely garden. We booked 3 nights for Labor Day weekend and we did not want to leave!

The kitchen is easy-to-use and organized. Scott’s pizza oven is legit! And wow the stars are amazing at this site. Location is prime for Burney Falls and Lake Briton which is about 1 hour away. Hunt Hot Springs is 7 minutes away.

Be sure to download an offline Google Map before arriving as there is sure no WiFi. :)

100% is a must-book if you are looking for amazing location, hosts, and a nature experience!!

The farm animals were a large part of the unique enjoyable experience. Creekside BunkhouseCreekside BunkhouseTheir garden is beautiful at this time of year! (Aug 2019)

We loved staying at Scott and Nora!! The property is very beautiful, with all required amenties as mentioned. They are responsive, helpful, friendly and an absolutely delightful couple. The ranch has ponies, llamas and goats that you can feed fruits to. We also bought the amazing Nora's organic fruit jams made of plums and strawberries from their very own garden! At night, you can stargaze at this beautiful ranch by the campfire. It might get harder to get to but it is totally worth it!

Nora and Scott were super friendly and hospitable, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The forest around the camp is gorgeous, and every camp or cabin site that I saw was close to the river, which I loved. Within a 30-minute walk were the natural hot springs that are heavenly to relax in. I would definitely come back, and would encourage everyone to check it out.

Their description was spot on. It’s a lovely place and very peaceful. You need not bring anything for cooking since the kitchen is complete and they’ve gone out of their way to provide everything else that you need whether tent camping or renting one of their cabins. Great hosts. They can point you to nearby wild Hot Springs and up into their property to a very deep swimming hole. Charming all around.
