We really enjoyed our time here! We were able to find it in the dark just fine, the directions they send are super helpful/detailed! We really enjoyed the outdoor shower, the bathroom was clean too. The chickens are loud in the morning, this didn’t bother us at all because we’re heavy sleepers and just rolled over and went back to sleep but if you are a light sleeper this would probably be an issue for you. Was located pretty close to town too and things we wanted to do which was great! We were able to book last minute with no issues too. I would definitely recommend! Beautiful views!

Exactly as described. If you can't handle bugs don't stay here. Aside from that, this place is an amazing place to stay in Oahu if you want to be removed from the hustle and bustle. We stayed in Waikiki for 4nts and here for 3nts. Total opposite ends of the spectrum but totally worth it. The farmstay has a backdrop you only see in movies. The natural sounds were soothing and the facilities were just fine (as long as you don't expect A/C and a TV. It was great to be disconnected from the real world. There's a backup generator for power if the solar battery bank runs out. With that being said, it was nice to be in complete darkness to be honest. If you've camped before then this would be perfect for you. If you have not camped before but want a break from city life then give this amazing place a chance. Wonderful experience.

Living Circle Farms is an INCREDIBLE place! My boyfriend and I rented a minibus and needed a place to camp on the island. The communication leading up to our stay was impeccable, the directions were easy to follow, and the staff were the warmest, friendliest people. The caretaker, Kristian made us feel like family and was so accommodating. The people working on the farm were lovely. The bathrooms and the outdoor shower were nice to have so close to our campsite. When I return to Oahu I will Not hesitate to stay here again. The town of Haleiwa is 10 minutes away, as is the beach. Haleiwa has great places to eat, an awesome market, cool bars, and is fun to walk around. Overall, this experience was absolutely amazing and I would Recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience on Oahu.

Very nice quiet place to camp. Beautiful view and the nice bathroom with hot showers was a big plus! Yes the rooster crows early but greatly preferable to road noise. The soft swoosh of a nearby water mill was nice background noise. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Waimanalo Farmstay

Don’t listen to any of the mixed reviews. This place exceeded all of our expectations. It was the perfect place to spend a few nights, the hosts were kind, showers were hot and views were to die to die for. We are very grateful that the farm allowed us to experience a slice of their life.

Staying at the Sun Farm was great! We camped at multiple spots around the island, and they had the most hostel feel to it! The charging options on site with a fridge was perfect for our last night before leaving, as we we were able to have things available to use the next day. Hot water in the showers and our site was right next to the office. We were able to participate in the Sun Farm tour and we HIGHLY recommend! If we visit the Sun Farm again we would like to explore their cabin/tent options for sure!

Camp Host Marcos is a great guy who’s willing to do what it takes to make everyone feel comfortable. He took the time to get to know a little about me and went outside the normal SOP to accommodate me instead of sending me away. The grounds are well kept and gives the feel as though you’re camping in the middle of a jungle. Thanks Marcos for the stay in lieu of me being a little out of sorts.

2 nights at Zen Oaezis in Sacred Valley

We rented a camper van and parked it at the star camp. It was very easy to find, Manny is very welcoming and kind. He gave us very thorough and easy to follow instructions in our check in. He was also very easy to reach and communicate with. The views are stunning and highly recommend the showers with the mountains in the background. A perfect place to get away and admire the beauty that is Mother Nature.

It was such a nice experience staying at the yurt! We were a bit afraid of the cold showers and air mattresses beforehand but this was not a problem at all. The surroundings are so beautiful and it is a very special place to stay. I would definitely recommend staying here :)

Camping on the farm was a delightful experience! Would highly recommend. All the extra amenities (hot shower, bathrooms, outdoor kitchen) made our experience so much nicer. It was an excellent place to meet new people; other campers and volunteers were all so friendly. P.S. Waimea their puppy dog was an absolute sweetheart.

Weekend Trip to Sun Farm Hawaii @ Koko Head

A lovely site with great staff and amenities. There’s a full kitchen which was really nice and 2 hot showers, also fantastic. Easy to find. I stayed in a campervan and you’re a bit close to other tent campers but that’s pretty clear prior to booking. Good location near Koko head and the city if you’re into that.

My friends and I had a wonderful time here, there is a kitchenette area with a large sink with running water, picnic tables, and a fire pit that we used to make hot dogs and smores. There’s also a porcelain toilet and shower with hot water, so this site has great amenities for camping but still staying comfortable. Perfect for our island camping staycation.

As a working farm, we do have insects and geckos hanging around. So, it's not uncommon to encounter them. Also, we often have visits from wild pigs that come down from the mountain, so you may see them as well. Although we are certain you will love this place, please keep in mind, it takes a lot of hard work to maintain it. Thus, you will probably hear farm equipment and activities buzzing about (typically on the weekends). And, we want you to respect, love, and care for this place as much as we do by leaving it better than you found it.

This is a breathtaking space that our family has poured many decades and multiple generations into. We are surrounded by jungle, with a freshwater stream running through the entire property and unobstructed mountain views. If you’re especially sensitive to mosquitos, bugs, geckos, free roaming chickens or other elements to be expected in nature, this might not be the place for you. Waimanalo is a small agricultural town filled with nurseries, horse stables, and a high concentration of Hawaiian homes. It remains mostly undeveloped and authentic, and we aim to keep it that way. Outsiders do not often get the opportunity to stay back here, but we welcome respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience who can appreciate this privilege. While nestled against the mountains, we're just a five minute drive from the beach. We are fifteen minutes from Kailua town, where you'll find several grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. This is a working farm. While we are very hospitable, we are not in the business of hospitality. I am happy to accommodate travelers, but I am not here at your beck and call.
