Our stay at Gaea Getaways was unforgettable. Our hosts greeted us and invited us into their home, where they told us about the history of the property. They walked us up to our yurt which was secluded and private from the rest of their land. The yurt was beautifully decorated and clean. There were his and hers robes for us by the bed, snacks in the cupboard, and coffee and tea for us as well. In the afternoon, Jane dropped off a complimentary bottle of wine at our front doorstep, and in the morning a basket of fresh fruit and treats was waiting with our morning paper. The property is full of surprises and magical sites, like a gypsy trailer set up for tea and a handmade teepee used for full moon rituals. This site is not one to be missed.
My family and I loved staying at GAEA. We had a splendid time. The only thing that would've made it better is if we could've stayed longer! The getaway was built in such a way that you know the folks involved are doing their best to take care of Mother Earth. And yet at the same time, all the sweet touches like the fairy garden, outdoor shower, evening wine, and morning treats are just a few examples of Jane's attention and hospitality. Thanks so much!
Relaxed and recharged!
It was the perfect place for a weekend getaway to unplug (literally, as there was no cell coverage, which was a plus) and spend some time in nature. The yurt was super fun, and set right in the middle of the forest, where it was very private and secluded. The yurt was comfortable, with a compost toilet, small sink with running water and a very private outdoor shower. Jane and John were warm and engaging hosts, who also respected our privacy. A bottle of wine was chilled and waiting for us upon arrival with breakfast delivered to our doorstep each morning, a delicious and healthy way to start the day! Finally, the property held treasures we were encouraged to find and enjoy, like the fairy garden, buddha meditation space, yoga deck, and the charming "Gypsy Rose" vintage trailer amongst the trees. A very relaxing and magical weekend for sure! We will be back!
Perfect little Oasis to get away from town for a night or 2 while also being close enough to Spokane to make it easy. We were planning on a typical camping trip but due to some questionable weather we decided to look for a cabin or yurt to rent and stumbled upon this little gem. The Yurt was incredibly clean and well kept. Property is amazing. We saw deer, rabbits, chipmunks, and turkeys and we only stayed for a night. Jane & John are very friendly and accommodating while also giving us the privacy we were hoping for.
Peaceful, fulfilling, enjoyable, :)
We stayed in the yurt which was really comfortable and attractive as well as private. The central ceiling dome covered opening allowed us to see the beautiful blue skies and green pine trees during the day and the stars at night. The hosts, Jane and John, are excellent people, very interesting and went the extra mile to ensure our comfort. We loved the acreage, so peaceful, quiet, and walking trails with many pleasant little things placed here and there, a creek that we sat at and cooled our feet, fire pit where we roasted our dinner, an outdoor shower that was really neat and enjoyable. I feel refreshed in my soul. We will be going again in a couple of months 😄❤️
Truly an experience we will never forget. The yurt was very cozy and wonderfully decorated, just like the pictures show! Upon arrival, you’re given a map of the property that’s filled with unique sites and features that makes Jane’s land an exciting adventure. On top of this, Jane’s amazing hospitality makes it hard to leave. Highly recommend to anyone looking to experience a place like no other!
Jane was so welcoming and warm, I felt immediately comfortable settling in and enjoying the absolute paradise that was Gaea. I can not recommend this experience enough — it was a truly calming and magical oasis.
My boyfriend & I had the pleasure of staying at Jane and John's property in the yurt and had the best experience!! They were gracious and kind hosts, and made the experience such a good one for us. The yurt was beautiful and cozy, the property was a blast to explore and being in that quiet area was the perfect getaway. Would highly recommend this place, thank you Jane & John!!
We enjoyed our stay so much! Our hosts made us feel right at home. The yurt was super clean and quite spacious. We were greeted by our host bearing a chilled bottle of wine! We enjoyed hiking around the compound and enjoyed discovering all the quaint little areas throughout the grounds. We hope to return in the near future!
