Called as instructions stated, was told I would be charged $42 for the site (the $25 HipCamp was “only a deposit”) or could pay $35 to his buddy “Dan” that would show me the sites.
There is no hot water in the showers, so don’t be fooled by that. It was 100 degrees during the day and the water still wasn’t even warm. Think ice cold (refreshing? Yes. But not what was promised).
The train is 50yds from the campsite; I’m a heavy sleeper but there is no sleeping through a freight train barreling through and tooting its horn every 4 hours.
This was a nice camp spot with a very beautiful view. We got in around 11:30 PM and it was very easy to find our spot and set up without having to wake anyone up to check in.
Perfect spot to get some peace and
This was a perfect spot to get a peaceful night rest. The bathroom was kept clean and the shower was hot. The host was super friendly. I loved the area and would have loved to stay a few more days to explore. But I was trying to beat the winter weather coming in and hit the road after one night. The themed rooms also seemed super cute and I'd love to check them out some time.
This was a nice place to camp! The camp sites are just behind the hotel and not very secluded but were clean and soft for us to stay. It is about 30-40 minute drive into Moab and a quiet part of town. The Amtrak train goes right behind the camp site a couple of times in the night and morning, but didn't disrupt us very much. Overall, I would recommend as a good place to stay near Moab for a guaranteed place in a busy part of the state!
Visited during high winds; had to adjust our site location and were given an unfit alternative; we ultimately decided to find a different area.
It was just what we needed when we neede it.Close to Sego Canyon.Shower House was nice.
Has everything you need for a good night of camping. Dudes are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Campsite could be a little better marked from the side of the road.
