Covid Update: We are open and hosting campers. I think that outside activities like our campsites are very safe. With that said I am keeping distance from all our guests. I may come by to say hello and tell about the site (sometimes this is not possible). If I do come by I will keep my distance from you and would appreciate it if you did the same. If you do not want me

Come pitch your tent next to Richardson Creek. Shaded by large pecan trees and secluded yet open, this campsite is a great place to spend a weekend. Come check it out!
Please no glass containers, shooting, or ATVs/dirtbikes at campsite. This is a pack in, pack out location. Please take trash with you and leave site clean. Also, no loud music at any time and dark time is quiet time. Thank you!
Note: Due to weather beyond my control the water levels in the river may or may not be good for swimming.

There were 3 sites which were pretty equal. We saw all three and were told we were at the wrong site but could stay at any of the 3. There was a pit toilet that was a bucket over a hole inside a wooden enclosure which we expected. However, the bucket was of poor quality and broke the 2nd day. The online photos and description showed a creek deep enough for swimming and fishing. Instead, it was very disappointing with low water level and the water that was there was stagnant. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable getting in what was there. We expected rustic, but didn't feel the description and photos matched what we received. We would never go back or recommend to anyone else.
Our stay at Emory's ranch was absolutely incredible. The campsite was private and secluded, and had a well built fire ring, picnic table, and composting toilet. The giant pecan trees provided perfect shade all throughout the hot Texas summer day. We had the opportunity to get a tour of the ranch and all the incredible ingenuitive systems Emory has created. It was truly a magical weekend completely secluded and away from everything; incredible views of starry night skies and refreshing swims in the crystal clear creek. We already can't wait until we get the opportunity to come back!
Brookside was a very good campsite for our group of 3. It had a great view of the entire property and sat nestled at the edge of the woods. The swimming hole was a short walk from the campsite and there were trails that followed the creek and the field. Fishing was actually decent and we managed to catch a lot of fish. I would reccomend this campsite!
We had a great time camping at Brookside Camp! Emory met us when we arrived and showed us around, which was great! The camp is extremely secluded and felt like we were miles away from anyone else. The swimming hole is just a short walk from the the campsite making the summer Texas heat very comfortable. The hole was full of fish! It was also a perfect spot for our dog to run free and enjoy nature! I highly recommend this spot. We will definitely be back!
The site was beautiful! It is located in a cow pasture, so watch out - there will be lots of poop and lots of noise. They're a vocal bunch, and they liked to walk through the camp site to the stream, both day and night.
Quaint getaway from bustling dfw
Very beautiful countryside. The campground was clean and a lot of firewood around the area to gather. We got a little confused with the directions and the host was kind enough to come to the main gate to direct us in and guide us to the campsite. The dogs ran free in the fields and there are a few trails to walk around. Extremely relaxing and would recommend it.
