Best in the winter to avoid crowds

Large Campground, lots of paved bike trails, plenty of hiking trails. Located on the northern Oregon coast so bring warm jackets and the beach tends to be very windy here.

If you're looking for a stunning sunset then this is your spot. Since it is such a big campground the beach never seems crowded. They have boat launch, group camping, and a horse camp. You can even pay to ride horses on the beach! Manzanita is a sleepy coastal town nearby, last summer we rode bikes there from the campground.

Great dunes to hide behind from the wind!! Great for beach walks and a retreat into the forest for night time campfires!
