Overview

About

The hardwood floors in your home may be nice, but they aren’t anything compared to the beautiful hardwood forests of Holmes County State Park. Built around two lakes that cover 54 acres, this park is high on both scenery and outdoor activities. Both lakes are well stocked with bass, bream, and catfish, but if fishing isn’t your jam, there are four miles of trails, playgrounds, picnic shelters and an amphitheater. Native plants, birds, and wildlife are in abundance and on Sundays from Memorial to Labor Day, worship services are available at the campground. Nearby area attractions include wildlife refuges, historical homes, and the Catfish Museum and Visitor Center. The friendly park staff is thrilled to tell you everything you need to know.
