We are situated at the end of a private road with only 2 residences. 12+ wooded acres to enjoy(hiking/exploring). At this time, only Sprinter Vans, Truck Campers and small trailers are ideal for the RV sites. Tent campers set up at the back of the property in the woods. Several hiking trails and locations to camp. There are multiple fire rings out back and plenty of fallen wood to burn or you can purchase seasoned split wood bundles on site. Suggested Local Attractions: The property borders a public golf course, downtown Lake Orion or Oxford are less than 1.5 miles as is public access to All-Sports Lake Orion(the lake) as well as others in the area. Dozens of miles of hiking/mountain biking trails. Bald Mountain State Park and Addison Oaks trailheads 2 and 3 miles respectively. Disc Golf courses. Public beaches, paved trails, etc. Or you can just hang out and watch the various wildlife that frequent the property. At least a dozen breweries, distilleries, restaurants a couple miles away, easily able to walk/bike/drive.

This was a hidden gem with a pond full of fun little fish. Not a full upnorth experience but the stars at night might say otherwise. It was fun, relaxing and a great experience with Hipcamp using it for the first time. My kids had a great time away from the city life and catching a ton of fire flies at night. There's enough woods and land for everyone to spread out. Neal and Melissa are very helpful and quick to respond with any questions. Overall I highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay away from the city life.

Neal was a wonderful host with excellent communication throughout. Even directed us to a local dump station. The land is beautiful and we had a great time. Pretty quiet there too. Lots of wildflowers to look at, trails in the woods to walk, and sooo many different dragonflies - which were fun to watch. Fishing in the pond was nice too. Also saw a red squirrel, deer, and various birds. Very nice to reconnect with nature, as we are from the city!

I was able to get in fine with my promaster class b, but after a good rain the road was a little dicey for 2WD. Would definitely stay again if I’m in the area!

This site already has lots of good reviews that all proved true, so I’ll just add one more thing from my perspective. I went camping here as a solo female camper, which means I’m extra vigilant about my safety. I loved the fact that Michael meets all campers upon arrival, has them sign paperwork, and communicates very quickly. It made me feel much more at ease during my stay.

Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a rustic, secluded camping experience where I could enjoy campfires, trees and the sounds of nature with my dog.
The forest is surrounded by quiet farm land and a pond. We even saw deer in the fields at dusk.
Thank you for offering this type of camping for people who love outdoors but find traditional campgrounds too congested.

When I first pulled up, I was a little concerned. It definitely wasn’t the type of neighborhood I was expecting. But back in the camping area was surprisingly quiet and serene. I woke up to birds chirping and surrounded by trees. The rustic bathroom area was super cute and clean. I loved having a spacious area with mirrors and water to get dressed and ready for the day. I was the only person there when I stayed, so it was lovely, but I will say, if any other campers had been there, it might have been a little awkward. The campsites are very close together. But if you’re staying with a group, the little fire pit is right in the middle and would be a cute place to hang out. Overall I was satisfied and would probably stay again if I needed a place near the city.

We had a great time! The host is extremely helpful and responsive. The campground and outhouse are very clean. It’s challenging but fun to drive on the path back to the campground. Located very close to town so everything is convenient. That being said, you can hear some road noise in the night.

A wonderful space to camp. Lovely nature trails near by and interesting exploring the suburban streets. Close enough to visit downtown Detroit. I especially liked the bathroom/toilet as it was designed really well. Thanks for your hospitality Jiya. I would love to visit again sometime and id definitely recommend.

Excellent backyard camp! Beautiful space, private and natural. Toilet and bathroom setup was really good, great attention to detail. We loved exploring the local area. Jiya has done a fantastic job of creating the camp space. Highly recommend and worked really well with a vanhouse.

The host, Mike, was very kind. I went winter camping, and it was risky to drive my car to the site, so he generously helped transport my camping gear with his mini truck. The forest was peaceful and quiet, and you can even see deer. I will definitely be back! It’s a safe place as well.
