Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp.
Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you!
COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires.
OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive.
Belle and Beau Acres is a farm homestead with a personal campground, conveniently located less than five minutes from I40. Expect nothing short of 360 degree views of relaxing nature, privacy, and spontaneous adventure when recreating at this agritourism location. Central to the most beautiful middle Tennessee destinations, BBA is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing excursions to at least 10 nearby state parks and lakes. Conveniently located on the Eastern Highland Rim between Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga in the lower Appalachian mountains, this area sits at the Upper Cumberland Plateau and is part of Tennessee's largest micropolitan area of Cookeville. The Property:
Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek.
We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay.
There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well.
We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion.
Quiet hours are 10pm-8am.
Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property.
Tent in the Trees Listing:
Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek.
The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink!
Primitive Camp Site:
The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite.
No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed.

Creekside Activities
Spend your days cooling off in natural swimming holes, floating peacefully down the creek, or casting a line for smallmouth and red eye bass. The area is teeming with wildlife—you may spot otters, mink, deer, and a variety of bird species from songbirds to eagles. In spring and early summer, wildflowers carpet the forest floor, adding a splash of color to your hikes.
Nearby Attractions
Just a short walk down the creek from your campsite, you'll find Waterloo Falls—a beautiful natural area featuring two scenic waterfalls, outdoor recreation, and event center.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the area by adding a day-use fee to your reservation (details provided upon booking). Please note that Waterloo Falls occasionally closes for private events, so we recommend checking availability with us in advance if you'd like to include it in your adventure!
Just 1 mile from the property is the Bend of the River Gun Range—perfect for shooting enthusiasts looking to sharpen their skills. For more conventional needs, Cookeville Center is a short 20-minute drive away, offering grocery stores, restaurants, and supply shops. You’ll be close enough for convenience, yet far enough to fully unplug and relax.

This hidden paradise has a waterfall that used to have a mill on it in the early 1900's. There are cliffs on each side of the creek making it the perfect spot for serene relaxation. Following upstream is an assortment of spots to pitch a tent. The most notable sites are surrounded by hemlock tree's and is peaceful when birds chirp over the small rapids echoing from the large overhang
*I am in the process of making multiple sites but until I do so it is first come first serve. There are multiple sites at main campsite and along creek, I've had a private event of thirty people staying at once. There are also smaller spots next to waterfall, uphill near cliff and I've had people go below falls for some complete wilderness (blocked by gorge and waterfall). With this being said, I do offer private bookings and accommodate special events!
*I travel for work, so I won't always be here, but I will send directions and details after confirmation and make sure all is savvy during. Please be respectful to one and another and let me know asap if any issues arise but truthfully everyone has been amazing and I thoroughly enjoy meeting and getting to know everyone!

Pitch your tent in the back of our 60 acre farm and stay completely secluded from people. You will drive 2 miles down a chip sealed road and then almost a mile down a dirt road past where the public road ends. Stay as connected or as disconnected as you want. Our farm offers the perfect escape from the day to day race of life. If you want to get away come spend a few days with us!!! We only allow booking of one camp site at time to ensure your privacy. Upon arrival there are 2 sites to pick from(see map in photos section). Camp firewood available for purchase at the barn on your way in. Signs are in place to take you to camp sites from the address that you will receive upon booking. Can't wait for you to come spend a couple nights with us!

The property is in Cumberland County, TN, is mostly wooded, and the Caney Fork River is on the property. The land is a welcoming place and can offer an amazing experience for relaxing, lounging, hiking, etc. There are two waterfalls on the property which are most magnificent just after a rainfall- one is a fairly easy hike just a few minutes from each site and the other is a bit more of a challenge which will take you down a sloped path and down the river edge. The total hike is only about 250 feet but is sloped at about 26°. Considering the short distance paired with the terrain, I would classify the walk as moderate. Also on the property, there is a large open area that is perfect for stargazing. The space will eventually be an orchard but currently has only 1 apple tree- so, there is plenty of room for lounge chairs or a blanket :)
Local Secret: There is an interesting waterfall about 3 miles away- Jeep crawl friendly- local graffiti, beautiful and accessible for walking across in the water, and great for pictures. I'm happy to provide the location- just let me know in the booking details.
Sparta, TN is just 30 minutes away and is a small town full of interesting shops, restaurants, and of course, waterfalls! https://www.spartatn.gov/
Additional info: Pets are welcome as long as they remain on leash. The location is outside of the nearest town by about 25 minutes. A Dollar General and gas station are about a 10 minute drive.
Suggestions:
1. Bug spray may be helpful- especially during the warmer months. No pesticides are used on the property because we forage edibles and medicinal herbs. Pro Tip: Wondercide is a great choice for a pet friendly bug spray and comes in lots of scents.
2. Bring firewood if you plan to cook over the fire. There is plenty of pine if you would like to gather it yourself but very little downed hardwood.
3. Bring water if you are opposed to drinking well water. There is an outdoor faucet close to the campsites for well water.
This is a bring in, take out experience...trash, towels, sanitary waste, etc. There is an additional $10 charge for leaving litter- this includes cigarettes.

When you arrive, come to the gate that's closest to our horse riding rink, across the street from our largest barn. Call the number provided and Frank, (our owner, head farmer, and kindly steward) will unlock the gate that leads to your parking spot. Don't worry, your parking space won't be anywhere near the cattle... but we'll be happy to safely introduce you to the herd if you'd like.
Please camp next to your vehicle, and provide your own toilet. The house on the property is for Frank's use only.
Please clean up after yourself, and don't mess with any animals without Frank's supervision. Cattle and horses can hurt you if you interact with them unsupervised. Please refrain from making a campfire in our fields. Finally, keep all gates closed. We don't need any livestock getting out!

We discovered this small homestead 18 years ago. It was built by a man preparing to go off grid, but he never did. In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising ducks, grazing sheep and hiking the hills behind us.
Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. With our three dogs, cats, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and chicken (there is only one chicken), things can be pretty merry around her. There are aquaponics and hydroponics to check out for fun. Plus, Nicole is one of the region's only craft coffee roasters, so you are in for a treat if you come visit and like coffee because she tends to make coffee most mornings.

The camp site is a two-minute walk from the driveway and outhouse so be prepared to carry items in and take your morning constitutional walk.
We sometimes have homestead-produced items for sale.
This is a functioning homestead, so we may be hosting an open house event, processing animals, or some other fun homestead happening activity during your stay.

Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp.
Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you!
COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires.
OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive.
Belle and Beau Acres is a farm homestead with a personal campground, conveniently located less than five minutes from I40. Expect nothing short of 360 degree views of relaxing nature, privacy, and spontaneous adventure when recreating at this agritourism location. Central to the most beautiful middle Tennessee destinations, BBA is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing excursions to at least 10 nearby state parks and lakes. Conveniently located on the Eastern Highland Rim between Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga in the lower Appalachian mountains, this area sits at the Upper Cumberland Plateau and is part of Tennessee's largest micropolitan area of Cookeville. The Property:
Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek.
We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay.
There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well.
We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion.
Quiet hours are 10pm-8am.
Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property.

Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek.
The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink!
Primitive Camp Site:
The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite.
No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed.

*I am in the process of making multiple sites but until I do so it is first come first serve. There are multiple sites at main campsite and along creek, I've had a private event of thirty people staying at once. There are also smaller spots next to waterfall, uphill near cliff and I've had people go below falls for some complete wilderness (blocked by gorge and waterfall). With this being said, I do offer private bookings and accommodate special events!
*I travel for work, so I won't always be here, but I will send directions and details after confirmation and make sure all is savvy during. You will drive 2 miles down a chip sealed road and then almost a mile down a dirt road past where the public road ends. Stay as connected or as disconnected as you want. Our farm offers the perfect escape from the day to day race of life. If you want to get away come spend a few days with us!!! We only allow booking of one camp site at time to ensure your privacy. The property is in Cumberland County, TN, is mostly wooded, and the Caney Fork River is on the property. The land is a welcoming place and can offer an amazing experience for relaxing, lounging, hiking, etc. There are two waterfalls on the property which are most magnificent just after a rainfall- one is a fairly easy hike just a few minutes from each site and the other is a bit more of a challenge which will take you down a sloped path and down the river edge. The total hike is only about 250 feet but is sloped at about 26°. Considering the short distance paired with the terrain, I would classify the walk as moderate. Also on the property, there is a large open area that is perfect for stargazing. The space will eventually be an orchard but currently has only 1 apple tree- so, there is plenty of room for lounge chairs or a blanket :)
Local Secret: There is an interesting waterfall about 3 miles away- Jeep crawl friendly- local graffiti, beautiful and accessible for walking across in the water, and great for pictures. I'm happy to provide the location- just let me know in the booking details.
Sparta, TN is just 30 minutes away and is a small town full of interesting shops, restaurants, and of course, waterfalls! https://www.spartatn.gov/
Additional info: Pets are welcome as long as they remain on leash. The location is outside of the nearest town by about 25 minutes. A Dollar General and gas station are about a 10 minute drive.
Suggestions:
1. Bug spray may be helpful- especially during the warmer months. No pesticides are used on the property because we forage edibles and medicinal herbs. Pro Tip: Wondercide is a great choice for a pet friendly bug spray and comes in lots of scents.
2. Bring firewood if you plan to cook over the fire. There is plenty of pine if you would like to gather it yourself but very little downed hardwood.
3. Bring water if you are opposed to drinking well water. There is an outdoor faucet close to the campsites for well water.
This is a bring in, take out experience...trash, towels, sanitary waste, etc. There is an additional $10 charge for leaving litter- this includes cigarettes.

The family we bought the farm from owned and farmed it since 1900. They built a cabin then and built a house around the cabin in 1920. We bought it in 2018 and have been renovating it to build a retreat center for first responders and others who serve unselfishly. To that end, we've cut hiking trails and campsites as well as filling the farm with livestock to help people slow down and de-stress. We're located in the beautiful green hills about an hour east of Nashville, Tennessee. Learn more about this land:Drift off to sleep with the sounds of a year-round creek just outside your campsite. Our farm is a 10-minute drive from multiple Tennessee State Parks, including Burgess Falls, Virgin Falls, Cane Hollow and many more. We're within a day's drive to even more selections of the best hiking trails, cliffs, outdoor attractions, and waterfalls in the entire state. Our farm is a perfect halfway point between Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. Anyone looking to take their time getting between the three cities in order to explore the natural beauty of East Tennessee will fall in love with Sparta!
Our farm has a new designated parking area for your truck, trailer, or van. (No RVs please... at least not yet!) When you arrive, come to the gate that's closest to our horse riding rink, across the street from our largest barn. Call the number provided and Frank, (our owner, head farmer, and kindly steward) will unlock the gate that leads to your parking spot. Don't worry, your parking space won't be anywhere near the cattle... but we'll be happy to safely introduce you to the herd if you'd like.
Please camp next to your vehicle, and provide your own toilet. The house on the property is for Frank's use only.
Please clean up after yourself, and don't mess with any animals without Frank's supervision. Cattle and horses can hurt you if you interact with them unsupervised. Please refrain from making a campfire in our fields. Finally, keep all gates closed. We don't need any livestock getting out!

We discovered this small homestead 18 years ago. It was built by a man preparing to go off grid, but he never did. In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising ducks, grazing sheep and hiking the hills behind us.
Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. With our three dogs, cats, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and chicken (there is only one chicken), things can be pretty merry around her. There are aquaponics and hydroponics to check out for fun. Plus, Nicole is one of the region's only craft coffee roasters, so you are in for a treat if you come visit and like coffee because she tends to make coffee most mornings.

Hang your hammock or pitch your tent in the back acres of a small homestead integrating permaculture practices. Hang out in our land for your whole visit checking out the holler we live in, dunk in the creek by the road, or drive over the hill to Center Hill Marine, or across the dam to Edgar Evins State park, or canoe the Caney Fork River!

Kayaking and fishing is also so close you can almost hear it - but you can't. Which is good.
Our property has a composting outhouse and the outdoor shower attached to the house has hot and cold water. We also have a nice, outdoor kitchen area to share that has a big sink and blackstone griddle. There is Wifi in the kitchen area and a plug for recharging devices.
The camp site is a two-minute walk from the driveway and outhouse so be prepared to carry items in and take your morning constitutional walk.
We sometimes have homestead-produced items for sale.
This is a functioning homestead, so we may be hosting an open house event, processing animals, or some other fun homestead happening activity during your stay.

Cute and private place. Easy to find. Loved the map they provided! With T-mobile, I had 5g everywhere on the property. Host was very nice and provided us change for the firewood we bought. We stayed in site 3 with our two dogs and our tree frog friend, and though we had neighbors, at the next site, they were far away. The site was clean, cared for, and opens into the star-gazing field, with a short walk to the comfort area.
The waterfall hike is steep but short, and there was beautiful spring flowers growing everywhere, including lots of trillium! Beautiful!
Springtime in Tennessee is sure to bring ticks, and this was no exception! After our hike, we found 2 on us, so make sure to bring spray and check yourselves and clothes/bedding well! This is not a complaint, it is an inevitable issue to be aware of!

Tent camped here and it was a solid time. Christine was very helpful and finding the site was no issue at all. The place was very quiet with only a faint hint of distant cars, and the place was overall peaceful with some nice small trails to walk and the star gazing field was cool too. Overall a very peaceful and enjoyable experience.

We had the BEST time staying here for a quick weekend camping trip. This spot is seriously such a hidden gem… peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect place to unplug.
We only stayed one night, but it was exactly what we needed. The campsite was clean, easy to access, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable while still getting that true outdoor experience.
The scenery was absolutely stunning… especially the waterfall! It made the whole trip feel like something out of a dream. We spent our time exploring, relaxing, and just enjoying being outside without distractions.
This was the perfect reminder that even one night can completely change your mood. We’ll 100% be back and would recommend this spot to anyone looking for an easy, peaceful getaway not too far from home.

Nice little spot by a creek. My son loved it and two farm dogs and a German shepherd stayed with us the entire time. It was peaceful for the most part. There's a state highway really close and another road extremely close and that should probably be made more prominent in the description. Traffic was loud at times and we weren't expecting that. Gil was nice and gave us some eggs which were delicious! We enjoyed it.

Christine was a great host. She was very accommodating for a last minute booking, and was very helpful and communicative throughout the process. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. We had the place all to ourselves, so we roamed around to all the campsites. You can’t go wrong with any of them. I would definitely recommend Belle and Beau’s for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of life.

It's a beautiful rustic sight. I stayed 3 nights in the first night.All I could do was to stay up and listen to the hound dogs and the crickets. The neighbor of the owners of the camp land was super friendly , beautiful and shady , and the ground is soft and there's plenty of firewood. Ten minutes to town. Super eaSy access.
Not much in this world you can get for $20.That's as good as that. To the host , thank you to the neighbor thank you , and i'm sure I'll be back.

We took advantage of an unusually warm December day and camped at our favorite farm. We love this property for its old trees, old barn, the chickens and horses. At night, we heard coyotes, owls, some frogs, and a deer happened to walk by my tent. We especially love Frank, the host. Frank is so friendly and very responsive to any need that you may have. He loves working his land, and it shows. It’s always a pleasure to talk with him and we can’t wait to come back in the spring and summer.
