The closest town for gas and food is Pahrump which is about 20 minutes away. My place is perfect if you want to get away from the city for a little bit, or if you are traveling the country in your RV, trailer, or tent. My place is very unique if you are looking for a different place to stay other than an RV park. Good vibes only. :)

You can visit Treasures just across the streetMark’s restaurant AAA+ food, gambling, and the bowling alley right across the street, and still return easily to this private lot. Treasures is a great little oasis to visit, and a short walk back to camp and have more privacy then staying directly on treasures site and avoiding vehicle age requirements.There are cactus ,sage, river rock and an old desert tortoise you might spot named Mort on the property. It’s a small plot of land but it will fit up to you a 45 foot bus or a truck and longer trailer. I have parked my 40’ school bus conversion there from time to time.the property is right outside of Pahrump in a convenient location with beautiful Mountain View’s. It was overall a great site. Civilization is close enough if you need it (20-30 minutes), yet far enough away to provide seclusion and spectacular views of the night sky.
The ground is soft enough to make it easy to sink tent stakes, but strong enough to hold them in place when the wind kicks up. This made setup and breakdown particularly easy.
The roads are primitive, but can be traversed by a 2WD vehicle with a little care.
Best of all, it was close to a lot of scenic sites, including Big Dune and Ash Meadows, and just a pleasant 45 minute drive from Death Valley. It serves as a great base for exploring a beautiful part of the country.

The campsite is very isolated - nearest structure is several hundred meters away, but 15 minutes from services (gas station). The site is gravel and pretty level, and so blissfully quiet. Ane the sky was so dark and clear, all the big constellations were easily viewable - Sagittarius, Scorpio, Cassiopeia, so many. Next time, I'll bring my telescope. Even if for only one night, make this a part of your rotation. On second thought, no body go there- yeah that's it. Leave it all for me - Mwaaahaa it's all mine.

Golfers beware of the Devils Golf Course—it is said that "only the devil could play golf on such rough links." This immense salt flat has formed jagged spires as it has eroded over the centuries. In this secluded valley you can listen for small pops and pings going off at random in the distance. These strange echoes are actually billions of tiny salt crystals expanding and contracting in the immense heat of Death Valley.
When to go
The ideal time to visit Devils Golf Course is during the cooler months of late fall, winter, and early spring. Summer brings extreme heat, with temperatures soaring above 120°F, making mid-May to mid-September less favorable for exploration.

- Scenic driving is the primary activity, with the salt formations visible from the parking area.
- Pets are not permitted on trails and should not be left in vehicles.
- An entrance fee is required, so have your pass displayed in your vehicle.
