Feel free to explore all around the ravine area and check out the spring downstream and our many acres of forested beauty. We have areas of hardwood forest and areas of cedar and pine. Check out the area of glade rock forest on the southern portion of the property but remember, this is nature! Dangers abound including high cliffs, loose and large rocks not to mention various animals including skunks and snakes among others! Hike at your own risk! You won't find another camping area like this, 5 minutes to Calico Rock (Stores and restaurants) with so much to do and see in the area, hiking trails, Gunner Pool and Blanchard caverns, since we are surrounded by the Ozark National Forest! Not to mention, world-class trout fishing or kayaking just 5 minutes away in the famous White River! Only 25 minutes to 2 Norfork Lake entrances, too! We now have a nice, new clean outhouse as well as offering a generous pile of firewood for just $10! More amenities like picnic tables are coming. You are free to explore the entire property (At your own risk) but I ask that you respect our privacy and avoid going close to our house and if we have any farm animals, please do not disturb them. Camp Miramichee Falls is located at the site of the original YWCA Camp Miramichee which was founded in 1916 as a retreat for girls. In 2019, my husband and I acquired and renovated some of the original Miramichee stone cabins. We are located on the Southfork River, in Hardy, Arkansas. We have 1 cabin on the river and 3 cabins a short walk from the river, up a wooded hillside, for rent here at Camp Miramichee Falls. There are a few other privately owned cabins in the neighborhood and we live on the property.

I moved to my dream home and property March 1, 2020. I refer to it as a hideaway because not only am I at the end of town, this is a dead end street so it stays quiet of traffic. Being downhill, next to the creek, I feel, is safer from tornados, as well, the echo goes uphill instead of downhill toward this property. I am learning town history from a friend that runs the historical society, here in town. As I learn things, I hope to share the information with anyone that may be interested. Learn more about this land: Peace, quiet, alone time or get away from the hustle. Located in the Ozark's.  No freeways for miles. Lots to do around and at edge of small town community. I will be setting up the horseshoe pits soon and have board games as well as cards.  I enjoy and look forward to sharing the beautiful land I live on. The front of my property is very flat and grassy, from the creek fence to the front side of my house. Mature trees that line my property provide nice shade in the spring and summer, however, the property is open air. The stars are spectacular. There is no light pollution. (once it is dark, you can't see your hand in front of your face) This is a small town of about 2000 people or so. There are quite a few shops as well as a grocery store, hardware store, a couple auto stores as well as a couple dealerships. There is a drive through coffee shop as well as a couple drug stores available in town. There are 3 to 5 different repair shops around. There is a beautiful golf course, 5-8 minutes away, just around the corner. .   I live in a peaceful and extremely tranquil spot here. A good hideaway, if thats what you’re looking for.  Hide away and recoup before your next big adventure.  There are a few kids around that love to ride their ATVs, bikes, walk, skateboard and skate up and down Conniebrook Lane. We have bike rally's coming through town often, in the summer. Mt. View, AR, the bluegrass music capitol of the world is about 45 minutes away. Beautiful drive, to get there. Scenic overlooks on the way. Wheelchair Accessibility: I am sure any electric wheelchair would have no problem going over the grass area anywhere they wanted to go in the camping area. I hope if there are any issues, it would be brought to my attention and I would make it accommodating, immediately.. I am extremely handy and mechanical.

This was truly the best camping place we’ve ever been to. The views were absolutely stunning, and the campsite itself was perfect for our tent. Robert and Susan went above and beyond to make the experience special. We even got a fun and super interesting coffee lesson (featuring some of the best coffee we’ve ever had), followed by a fresh latte handcrafted by Susan, which was absolutely delicious. Robert even sent my husband back with some of his coffee to share with the guys at the fire station, which meant so much to us. And if that wasn’t enough, they also dropped off homemade sourdough monkey bread, which was nothing short of phenomenal. Robert and Susan are honestly some of the kindest and most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. On top of the amazing views from the campsite, the common area was perfect—especially on the rainy day we had. We were able to relax on the couch with our dogs, stay dry, and still enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

This property is so well maintained and very well thought out. The owners are wonderful people. They are always working on and improving their property. A lot of thought, heart and hard řwork have gone into this campground. It provides camping experiences of just about every genre. From isolated tent camping, glamp tent camping, tiny home, cabins, and small RV area. All complete with a bathhouse, pond, meadows to run through and treehouse for the young at heart. So close to the Buffalo River… Its a nice place to be…. The sky’s are also amazing!

This was one of my favorite campsites of all time! The view from the bluff just a short walk down the hill is amazing! Great for viewing stars at night, too! It’s also nice to have a good shower and toilet available! The campground was full, but there are not many sites, so being able to use the shower/bathroom wasn’t a huge conflict. Robert was an extra kind host, and he brought freshly roasted (and brewed) coffee every morning to the common area! When we requested firewood through the Hip Camp app, he had it for us at our site very quickly. We were really tired and my husband was kind of feeling sick during our stay, so we did not hike on the trail down into the valley. But, we plan to camp here again and hike the trail! We have a pretty large tent (6 person tent) and we were able to fit it on the camp pad! The fire pit and picnic table were also nice additions to our camp life. We also hung up our hammocks over by the bluff and it was an amazing reading spot with a view! We loved everything! This is a great place to get away from the noise and busyness of modern life, but it still has amazing amenities like coffee, a bathroom, AND WiFi. 😄

Jann and Betsy are the most kind, accommodating, and friendly hosts we have ever had the joy of interacting with! Their campsite/land is beautiful and so quiet. We loved being able to access the creek and cool off in the afternoon, and to warm up by the fireplace in the evening. Everything was so clean and well cared for. Hot showers !! 👍 Truly loved this campsite and would recommend anyone needing a refreshing retreat, or just a great family friendly environment, to come to Little Creek! The camp is perfect for a group of campers to camp together because there is lots of games available and a creek to swim in and lots of room for children to play. I would recommend it for reunions family or church groups or any other group to camp here. The hosts were very accommodating to our needs and the facilities are clean and neat. The Hipcamp app lead us to believe there was no room for some bumper pull trailers but they can accommodate any size of bumper pull camper.

Calico Camp is a lovely, shady spot on private property about 2 miles from Calico Rock Main Street and the White River. Rich in history and great fishing. Bring your boat and kayak. Or, you can rent one in town. There are fishing guides available, too. I moved here in 2016 from Atlanta, Georgia. I actually lived in an RV in a beautiful park for several years there. And, loved it! I thought I was going to do that here, but changed my mind when I found this sweet little house on a couple of acres. Deer visit us, and bunnies make their homes here. I have cats and dogs of my own. I work at the Calico Rock Museum and invite you to visit us. We have a wonderful Heritage Center and a gallery/gift shop with works of art created by local artisans. You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that. There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas. The White River is famous for its trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.) The hookups are on the left side (right side if you back in). You may need extensions for your power and sewer. I have them available, if you don’t have your own. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE. Rumor has it he built the original house and the barn which was become known to locals as a land mark “The Big Red Barn."
