My family has lived in these parts for over 150 years ever since my great grandfather settled here from Georgia. This land has been used for may things. From raising cotton, corn, hogs, cattle and at one time my family was one of the largest strawberry producers in the state and always raised a large vegetable garden. I can still remember my daddy plowing this ground with a big black team of mules. For the past 20 years we have raised Buffalo. But the commitment has always been the same. Taking the time to help your neighbor, even if he does not ask. Keeping your word, a man is only as good as his word . Treating people fairly and with respect, if you can not respect others you can not respect yourself. And for each generation to leave the land in better shape than when you started farming it.

The cottage has two double beds in the lower level bedroom as well as a queen bed in the upper level loft. A futon couch in the living room folds out to a double bed, as needed. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils of every kind. Both the stove and refrigerator are full size, there is also a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and the kitchen table seats six. Bed linens, towels, pillows and blankets are supplied. The bath is a tub and shower combination. There is a charcoal grill in the yard, but please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Enjoy our screened deck, covered picnic area, and outdoor fire pit and there is ample level parking for vehicles, canoes, and other outdoor gear. We offer Satellite TV. We loved the tiny off-grid house on this gorgeous property. It had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend getaway including a cozy bed, kitchen basics, and outdoor fire pit with chairs. We also enjoyed exploring the land and creek close by. Rob showed us around upon arriving. He was friendly and made us feel quite welcome.

Weekend Trip to The Ridge at Buffalo Point
We had so much fun at this cabin! It’s the right size for a weekend getaway with a bed, small Roku TV, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, grill, and fire pit. The private bathhouse was a short walk from the cabin and was nice after a long day of outdoor activities. The property also offers a disc golf totem, swings, and open area to run around in. The location is also really close to the lower area of the Buffalo River. Easily a 5-10 minute drive to anything. Also, loved having Wild Bills, a gas station and convenience store, a short walk away for anything we forgot or needed. Loved meeting the gray kitty on the property. He was an absolute sweetheart and loved pets. Would definitely stay here again!!

Our stay at Grassy Roads was very much needed! The owners were very friendly and whenever I had questions, Jonathan responded very promptly. The land was beautiful to look at while sitting by the campfire. The lights on the treehouse were a great touch. I do believe on our next stay, we will be trying the glamping site or a cabin. Hopefully it’ll be sooner rather than later. Overall, I highly recommend this venue.

I used Verizon for connectivity but did notice a 2-bar wifi available. After kindly greeting me and making sure I was comfortable, Linda left me to find my own peace. I took several walks. This property has a ton of berry brambles and if you time it right, I bet you could add fresh-picked berries to your breakfast. Neighboring land offered views of dogwood blossoms - those carefree night-gowned girls of the woods running together over the hills - and plenty of squirrels and birds to view.
If you do come as a couple, the two twin beds will give you a king-equivalent and I think you will be able to make and enjoy coffee right from bed. Ha! The trundle would easily lower and tuck back under the main bed during the day. Sturdy cottage with a generous porch. Clean toilet.
This home is off the beaten path and has no google-mapped address but is one of several small farms. Roosters kept in touch with each other! And horses in the next farm over.
All in all a great place to land if you are exploring the area or need to retreat for a bit.

3 nights at Peacemakers
It was a great retreat for one person. The trail through the woods was well cleared and I enjoyed several walks. Linda and Ron are kind and good hosts. The wifi didn't work well enough for my laptop to connect, but I did have service on my phone via Verizon data. The cabin has both heating and cooling and is well thought out. There are plenty of trees to bring a hammock.

We loved our stay at the Buffalo Farm cabin 1! It was exactly as pictured and went above and beyond our expectations. Star gazing while in the hot tub was unbelievable! We also saw a fox in the field behind the cabin. The cabin was in a great location - in the quiet countryside, but not too remote. An added bonus was LC’s tour of his farm. It was fun to see the animals (some close up) but our favorite was getting to feed the buffalo. LC is an amazing host and took care to make sure we had an awesome stay. Can’t wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Dally Ridge Ranch
The Barnabus was super cozy!!! Very comfortable bed!! Stayed warm too!!! Beautiful place. Very relaxing Janie was an excellent and welcoming host! The hot tub was amazing.
