Description

Amenities are scarce at this campground, but the location makes it worth it. The 10 campsites are situated next to a spring-fed lagoon that feeds Wood River, which means you’ll wake up to the sound of super fresh, cool water lapping gently against the bank--a.k.a. nature’s best alarm clock. A short trail leads from the campground to the spot where the spring seeps out of a rocky hillside to form the river. The sites here are primitive, and there’s no potable water available, so make sure you bring your own. Vault toilets are provided.

We were eaten alive here, regardless of long pants and long sleeves. Bring bug spray! They bit us through our clothes. We rushed out of there after one night. 30+ bites between us! Otherwise, peaceful and beautiful location. Wish we could have explored more.
