Our small owner operated campground sits high above the Niangua River. Situated below Tunnel Dam and the locally famous Whistle, we have 250’ of Big Niangua River frontage. We offer several full hook-up RV spots and ultra secluded primitive spots and anything in between. We have a bathroom/shower house for campers’ convenience.

Site 12- Riverbend Primative

Tent site · Sleeps 8
Tent camping only. This is a primitive camp site, high above the Niangua River,. Your site will have a fire ring and a picnic table. With plenty on room, this very shaded site will make the perfect base camp for exploring the area. There is a bathhouse on the property - away from the campsite, offering a shower, toilet and sink. Just a quick hike down the hill to our access on the river, or a short drive down the county road to the ‘whistle’ for a great gravel area to play in the water! Close to, Ha Ha Tonka State Park, Tunnel Dam, Lead Mine Conservation Area, Mule Shoe Conservation Area, Ballparks National, and the famous Lake of the Ozarks.

Campers consistently appreciate the natural beauty and peacefulness of the campsite, often mentioning the picturesque views and proximity to Ha Ha Tonka State Park. The host, Steven, is repeatedly praised for being responsive, helpful, and welcoming, enhancing the overall camping experience. While the facilities are generally clean and adequate, some reviews note minor inconveniences such as rocky terrain and steep trails, which might pose challenges for some visitors. Despite these small drawbacks, the campsite offers a delightful retreat with plenty of wildlife and opportunities for exploration.
