Incredible!
Ralph was great! Very personable, friendly. The fridge in the camping cabin wasn’t working and he very promptly brought us another one which worked great! Also, I loved having the fresh honey and fire wood as an “add on” to our stay. The property was so beautiful and peaceful. My 3 kids loved the animals and playing in the river!

Camping at the river site.
Hi Ralph
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to explore your beautiful property. The view was very pleasant and peaceful. My kids loved feeding the sheep and were crazy about it. They wanted to come back and feed it again with you but unfortunately the pregnancy was making me too uncomfortable. Will definitely plan to come back another time.

Secluded spot on the river, lots of land to explore and animals to visit. We enjoyed relaxing, letting the dogs roam, and the fall foliage. Ralph is great, available with an answer or extra firewood. Cabin is cozy and has everything you need for a rustic getaway.

AMAZING
Overall, we had another amazing time at Ralph's property. There was a wonderful atmosphere, a beautiful and clean property, and the best host, 10/10. We can't wait to come back next year.

Nice site that was tucked away, right next to the river and quite private and clean. Ralph was a great host, I arrived a bit earlier that expected and he dropped what we was doing to show me to the site and made sure I had what I needed. Dropped off a good supply of fire wood while I went to the store.
Having the bathroom and hot/cold running water available was a big plus. Thanks

Comfortable camping with animals
Ralph’s river farm was beautiful and serene. He was very hospitable and helpful in leading us to our camp spot, showing us around, and had great communication. The site had power hookup, a full bathroom building, a picnic table, and a fire pit which made for a very comfortable stay. It was awesome to be able to bring our pup and have so much room to explore and exposure to farm animals. The river was too low to fish or kayak, but we were able to play and walk in/along the river and plan on coming again in the spring to fully enjoy it.

Love Cap Cove
This is my 2nd trip to Carp Cove and I absolutely love this place. The land is beautiful the host is so nice and my heart feels free on the farm. Last time I had my camper but this time I stayed at a tent site and wish I never had to leave.

This cabin is absolutely perfect for a getaway. Private, remote, and peaceful, but well stocked, equipped, and comfortable. The cabin really has everything you need: a fridge and stove, cooking equipment, a bathroom and multiple shower options, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and plenty of windows and fans to keep you cool. We slept with windows wide each night to feel the evening air and hear the summer evening bugs humming. Cell phone service is very hit or miss but is available in certain spots (as is common in rural areas). We enjoyed the opportunity to unplug.
Ralph was an exceptionally welcoming host; he greeted us kindly, then let us be (but was always reachable by text). The eggs and honey we added on from Carp Cove were delicious.
We enjoyed strolling the farm, hanging and playing music together on the back porch, looking out at the river, having fires at night, and spotting critters every which way (hawks, cranes, owls, river otters, and more)!
The area surrounding the farm is beautiful country and has all you’d hope for from rural Appalachian towns: farm stands and markets, antique stores, hikes (a ways out). Check out the Farmer’s Daughter and Bent River Trading Company in Capon Bridge for some local fare and make sure you visit a farm stand or two as you’re driving by to support the local farmers and treat yourself to some of the best produce you can get.
We will definitely be back someday! May even tent camp here sometime.

Cozy vibes along the North River
Had a great weekend tucked away on the farm alongside the North River! The cabin was all we needed and more (surprise indoor and outdoor showers!). We were able to see many a critter while we were there and felt very cozy and nestled. The farm honey is amazing and we are glad we bought a dozen eggs. Will definitely be making a trip back here sometime. Thanks Ralph, your place is such a hidden gem!

We had an amazing stay. It’s a perfect place to disconnect from the city and enjoy the nature. My dog was extremely happy to roam around and swim in the river. We took advantage of available add ons like fresh farm eggs and honey, even asked for more to to go. And you still have all the comfort you might need in the cabin. The hospitality was outstanding, definitely will be back.

Great stay!
Excellent location. Excellent and friendly host. We only spent one night, but were pleasantly surprised with the location and even more so at how well we were treated. Our son enjoyed petting the donkey and talking to the cows!

Wish I could have stayed longer...
This place was a serene hideaway. The host was very helpful and welcoming. We got honey and eggs as well and they were fantastic! We even got duck eggs! The river was beautiful. We enjoyed fishing it very much, although we didn't catch anything big. The cabin was well appointed and the yard was perfect, with a large fire pit that we could cook over and chairs to relax by the fire.

We had the best time at Ralph’s camp site! We were able to see the cows, horses and goats up close. Everyone that we met was super friendly and Ralph was very accommodating.

Camping on the river!
We loved tent camping on Ralph’s land. He was a great host and took care of anything we needed. The site was shaded and right next to the river. A great place to relax and unplug.

We love this gem of a cabin! We have stayed with Ralph 6-times since 2021 and we have a 7th trip booked in a couple weeks. We bring friends and family here and everyone who joins us is just as charmed as we have been. It is really a very special place and Ralph and his family are so generous for sharing this with Hipcampers. We have stayed in tent sites and the cabin and find everything to be well taken care of; the presentation and conveniences make it evident that Ralph takes pride in the property and does all he can to ensure the experience each camper has is unique, fun, private, and safe. All ages have stayed with us from very young toddlers to my 89 year old grandmother and there is truly something for everyone to enjoy here!

Beautiful Cabin on the River
I stayed in the cabin solo for a couple nights and really enjoyed it! Ralph and his family were so kind upon arrival, and the cabin/site was clean and well maintained. The mattress was very comfortable, and the windows and fan kept me very cool at night. Its a very private spot, I hardly saw or heard anyone which was wonderful!
I really enjoyed my morning walks around the farm. I spent a lot of time kayaking on the river, and I saw a bunch of wildlife (so many turtles!) and farm animals.

Camping on a farm is the best!
Loved it here!! Ralph met us at the entrance and showed us to our rv full hookup spot! It’s a full working farm, so we got to see all the animals, the cows were hilarious at dinner time! We kayaked on the river on his property and enjoyed breakfast with the farm fresh Easter Egger eggs we got from him!
Very quiet, nice to be away, we love HipCamps!
Most of all we’ve loved seeing Clarabell the donkey everyday on our walks.
I highly recommend!!

Great stay
We absolutely loved our stay and already have our return trip planned! Our kids had fun in the creek and exploring the land. They especially loved stonewall! He was a very friendly horse.

We had a great time relaxing
We loved our visit to the farm. It was the perfect get away from the daily grind. The full bathroom was really awesome to have access to and saved me from the shower in the trailer. I would absolutely recommend Carp Cove Farm for a relaxing break.

Peaceful
Ralph was very accommodating. Beautiful spot by the river. Enjoyed fishing and hanging out by campfire. Even strung a hammock up to lounge with a book. Bed was comfortable and played games at the large table in the evening. There is no Wi-Fi and phone signal is spotty so nice to disconnect and relax. We visited the PawPaw bridge for a short hike in the afternoon. Thanks for hosting!

Camping on a working farm
A delightful escape on a working farm nestled in a quiet valley. The hosts Ralph and his family were incredibly gracious and helpful, we purchased some fresh eggs and honey to add to our morning meals. There are some good walks up in the area around the valley and a nice stream nearby. Horses, cows, baby lambs, oh my :)

Camping on a farm
Ralph and his wife were very welcoming a helpful. The views of the horses and other animals were beautiful. The RV location was very nice and having a bathroom was so nice. The river was right behind us down a little path. We drove around to nearby areas had great food at a place called burgers and biscuits and a BBQ place in Ronmey. So glad places like this exist it's definitely nice to stay in beautiful locations such as this one.
