RV Site Description – Self-Contained Dry Camping Bring your own self-contained RV, travel trailer, or pull-behind camper and enjoy a peaceful dry-camping experience at A&E Covey Homestead in the rolling hills of the Palouse. This site is best suited for smaller rigs, with a recommended maximum length of 18-20 feet due to the property's hilly terrain and access road conditions. The campsite offers a private, rural setting with expansive views of the surrounding farmland, stunning sunrises and sunsets, and exceptional nighttime stargazing. Guests should be prepared for a remote camping experience and arrive with sufficient water, power, and waste-holding capacity, as there are no hookups available at the site. Site Features Suitable for self-contained RVs and pull-behind campers Recommended camper size: 18-20 feet or smaller Dry camping only (no water, sewer, or electric hookups) Private rural setting with panoramic Palouse views Gravel parking and camping area Quiet location away from traffic and crowds Excellent stargazing and wildlife viewing opportunities Access Information Access to the campsite is via a gravel driveway with a hilly, uneven approach. Drivers should be comfortable maneuvering smaller RVs or trailers on rural roads and grades. Larger motorhomes or long trailers are not recommended due to limited turning and access space. Guests should arrive during daylight hours if possible, especially on their first visit, as the campsite is located in a secluded area of the property. Nearby Amenities The property is conveniently located near Pullman, Washington, and Moscow, Idaho, offering easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, university events, hiking trails, and local attractions while still providing the peace and privacy of a countryside retreat.
