Perched atop Goin Hill, our Sunset Pavilion beckons with breathtaking views of the James River and the majestic Appalachian Mountains. This off grid cabin has a cozy Outhouse, a fenced front yard for your furry friends, and a charming glass-enclosed cedar room with a queen-size bed suspended from the ceiling. Warm yourself by the real wood-burning parlor stove or step onto the small deck to savor the outdoors.

A Farm for Every Season - Altamont

This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect place to stay for a relaxing vacation with a gorgeous mountain view from the deck! The hot tub is a great place to relax after a day exploring the farm and gathering around the firepit is a great way to end the day. Come explore the farm and stay in this relaxing home! The space There are three bedrooms (four beds total) and three bathrooms. There is a big kitchen and breakfast bar and comfortable gathering areas both upstairs and downstairs. The downstairs living room has a tv for watching movies on DVDs, games, large comfortable couch, and gas fireplace. The washer and dryer are located in the garage for your use - please be aware that our Property Manager also uses them to do the laundry but mainly during weekdays (separate outside entrance) There is a charcoal grill located next to the fire pit and we sell charcoal at the Farm Store. Pets are welcome! There is a pet fee so please let us know if you plan to bring your furry friends! We provide enough firewood for your first fire in the firepit! Guests are welcome to look for more firewood in the woods if you need additional firewood (please only use wood that is already on the ground). Guest access Altamont Farm is a 500 acre historic working farm. Surrounded by beautiful mountain and river views, this farm is home to a variety of animals including Highland cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, and horses! You are welcome to explore the farm (including more than 10 miles of trails and great fishing on the James River) and relax in this peaceful corner of nature. We have a variety of animals on the farm and each has a unique diet. We ask guests to please not feed any of the animals without first checking with us as improper feeding (too much, wrong type, etc) can lead to health problems for the animals. Thank you! This cabin from the 1840s was meticulously reassembled on a 500 acre farm and sits right next to the James River. Come and enjoy the quiet, the river, and scenery and forget the hustle and bustle of the city. This cabin is off-grid but with solar power lighting and seasonally dependent running water for an outdoor shower and sink nearby. The space This simple and beautiful log cabin gives you the feeling of stepping back in time! You can sit and enjoy some coffee and the view of the river from the covered porch or relax around the campfire in the evening. This cabin has solar lighting both inside and on the porch. The cabin is off-grid which means there is no electricity/running water inside & no wifi. Enjoy the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the beautiful Virginia woods! Pets are welcome! There is a pet fee so please let us know if you plan to bring your furry friends! There is a large outdoor space surrounding the cabin and you have direct access to the river just a short walk down the path. You also have the use of the outdoor kitchen with a grill, sink for washing dishes, and seating area a short distance from the cabin. We provide containers of drinking water inside the cabin which can be refilled at the pumps near the shower house or farm store. We maintain a clean out house located across the large bridge behind the log cabin and there is a shower house available for all our guests to use near the farm store with hot water. We provide enough firewood for your first fire in the firepit! Guests are welcome to look for more firewood in the woods if you need additional firewood (please only use wood that is already on the ground). Have you ever been driving down the highway and passed a vintage travel trailer and wished you had the opportunity to enjoy these times of the past? This is the perfect opportunity! This is an iconic Argosy travel trailer from 1972 and is remotely located and immersed in nature with wonderful views and great sunrise experiences. The trailer is off-grid but does have solar power for lighting and phone charging. It has a very adequate heating system and a seasonal outdoor shower. The space Enjoy the sunrise from the deck or relax by the fire pit in the evening by this vintage Airstream trailer! The entire trailer is covered and there is a nice deck on the front from which you can enjoy miles of views. This trailer will comfortably sleep three and has a full kitchen inside. We provide drinking water in glass and blue plastic containers that can be refilled at the pump by the Farm Store. There is also an indoor sink for washing dishes. There is an outdoor shower located just behind the trailer. We also maintain a clean out house behind the trailer for your use and there is a shower house available for all our guests to use near the Farm Store with hot water. Pets are welcome! There is a pet fee so please let us know if you plan to bring your furry friends! There is a firepit of course and a grill for outdoor cooking. The firepit is near the front deck of the trailer and we provide enough firewood for your first fire! Guests are welcome to look for more firewood in the woods if you need additional firewood (please only use wood that is already on the ground). We provide a cooler for you to put food in as there is no refrigerator in the trailer. There is a refrigerator on the deck of the Shower House by the Farm Store that our guests in our off grid listings are welcome to store their food in as well. There is a usb charging port above the sink. If you need outlets for computers etc, there are outlets at the shower house by the Farm Store. There is solar lighting at the trailer but it is a good idea to also bring flashlights with you! This trailer does not have air conditioning so please keep that in mind for your stay.

We also maintain a clean out house next to the cabin for your use and there is a shower house available for all our guests to use near the farm store with hot water. Pets are welcome! There is a pet fee so please let us know if you plan to bring your furry friends! There is a king-size sleeper sofa downstairs and a full mattress on the daybed upstairs. The downstairs sleeper sofa has the views of the river and woods right from your bed! You can close off that downstairs section as well so it is private. Enjoy the sunset on either the first or second level deck, before roasting s'mores around our fire pit underneath the star-filled Virginia sky! We provide enough firewood for your first fire in the firepit! This cozy farmhouse offers beautiful sunrise views and a relaxing country getaway! The White House was the original farm home built in the early 1900s and has been carefully restored. This property is also home to our five farm horses! Guests are welcome to explore the 500 acres of Altamont Farm which offers miles of hiking trails, a variety of farm animals to meet, and 1.5 miles of James River frontage. The space This house is a one bedroom home with a kitchen, full bathroom, outdoor deck, and wonderful fenced-in backyard. There is one bedroom upstairs with a king bed and a pull-out couch in the living room as well. Pets are always welcome at the farm and dogs will do just fine in this fenced in backyard - there is a pet fee so if you plan to bring your furry friends, please let us know! We provide enough firewood for your first fire in the firepit! Guests are welcome to look for more firewood in the woods if you need additional firewood (please only use wood that is already on the ground).
