Tent camping was great….beautiful views. We had some visitors…..neighbors horses came over to check us out and a very friendly ginger cat. Plenty of access to water spigots and the bathrooms were clean and adequate.

We stayed in a rustic spot. The views are beautiful! Love that there is a dishwashing spot outside the bathroom with hot water, close access to the Badlands. The showers had great water pressure, but the curtains and bath mats need to be replaced, they had mold.

Accommodating host. My cord was too short so when I asked to switch to a different spot, she was very helpful.. The spot was pretty flat. The showers were nice and roomy. I had water and electric hook up. They have a little store.

As a RV Park it was reasonably well kept and served its purpose of providing a quiet and safe place to sleep for the night. The woman who checked us in was very welcoming and gave us suggestions of local restaurants if we chose to eat out. We have a self contained vehicle so can’t comment about any of the facilities and it was raining so we stayed put in our van.

The bath house seemed to be a bit outdated, but was clean and had warm water. Directions were clear even if you didn’t get to speak with anyone working there

The location was wonderful. My pup and I loved walking in the adjoining grasslands and seeing the beautiful buttes of the park right there. Plus full hook ups— can’t beat it!!

The location and views at this campground are excellent - right outside the National Park and beautiful views from every campsite. Staff was friendly and sites were easy to pull in and out of.
Was not impressed with the the showers - mays were moldy, water pressure low and drainage in shower not great.

The campground is conveniently located next to the Badlands entrance. It’s definitely better than parking on the pavement drive of the NP campground. My disappointment was in the conditions in the bathroom/shower. Black mildew adorned the aging shower curtains, and increased the yuk factor. The bathroom itself seemed ok.

I highly recommend this campground! My husband and I were originally planning to backcountry camp in the national park for one night as we traveled west, but due to some logistical stuff it ended up being more practical to car camp. This place is so close to the park, affordable, and full of amenities like showers, drinking water, a convenience store and option to buy coffee. We only had a few hours to explore the badlands and this place helped us make the most of it! There’s also a mile long walking trail at the campsite - great for a quick leg stretcher if you’re heading out for a long day of driving.

we had a great experience here a little kitten came and visited ag our campsite which was very heartwarming they do have a nice selection of food and some gear u may need for camping as well as bathrooms and showers

Very convenient location for visiting the Badlands! My tent site was near the highway, which was unsettling at first but ended up being okay as traffic winded down in the evening. Next time I’d ask for a tent site on the other side of the campground.

Host said they were okay with me leaving early in the week and told Hicamp to give me a differences of refund for early check-out.
And then Hicamp said the refund is totally up to the Host.
Guess what?
Not only was I double charged for the stay here, I was never given the difference refund back, as I was told by the original host.
The host denied my differences refund when I requested it on the Hicamp app. So much for keeping your word, unreliable Host.

The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was very hot and sunny and I was traveling with my pup. I asked if she could move us to a site with a tree and she did. The store had pretty much anything that I could imagine you'd need. It was SUPERRR windy when we got there so we only had our tent up for 1-2 hours before we realized we had to take it down. We ended up leaving around 11PM to start our long journey back home early. We still got to see the beautiful stars before we left. We had a beautiful view of the sunset over the badlands right from our site. The location is gorgeous. Would recommend!!

Conveniently located near many of the main Badlands trails and lookouts. Easy check in. Good facilities (showers/toilets were clean, good wash station and potable water).

We got there after the office had closed, our packets were waiting on the bulletin board out side the office door. Our site was on the outer edge of the campground, the site was on level gravel with a covered picnic table. There looked to be about 30 rv sites and 15-20 tent sites. The shower building held four shower/toilet rooms mine had hot water with good water pressure. The campground was within walking distance to a local bar and breakfast could be purchased inside the campground store. Over all I give it 8/10.

Great location with amazing views of the Badlands. The tent sites could definitely use some tidying, clearer labeling, and new picnic tables. We didn't like the first site we were offered (08) and asked to be moved. The sites aren't marked clearly, but the alternate site at the back of the campground was better and flatter with some shade. The firepits are small and the picnic tables are ancient, but the location made it worth those inconveniences. The bathrooms were clean enough, and it was nice to have a single unit toilet/sink/shower. Recommend with those caveats.
