The camping area is suitable for all styles of camping - Tent, RV, or CamperVan. Whether you prefer a short overnight visit or a more extended stay, our open spaces and child-friendly meadow provide the perfect setup for all campers. Serene Pasture Getaway is more than just a tranquil retreat. Our location puts a variety of attractions within reach. A short distance away, you'll find a reservoir park, complete with a walking path, baseball/softball fields, and a playground. Half a mile from the property lies a newly opened walking/bike trail connecting Greenwich to New London. For those willing to explore further, a 20-minute drive will take you to Norwalk, Ashland, and Mansfield. Or, if you're up for a day trip, Cedar Point and Lake Erie are roughly an hour away. And for your convenience, a laundromat and a local favorite ice cream stand (seasonal) are just half a mile away from our property.At our Rustic Pasture Sanctuary, a unique camping experience awaits. Our two friendly horses will be your delightful welcoming committee, making your stay even more memorable. Here, you'll enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the spacious camping area nestled on the property. Gaze out at the rolling meadow and the nearby horse pasture from under the massive maple tree, or let your children enjoy the open spaces perfect for play. If you're looking for more adventurous activities, you can venture onto the nearby bike trail. And during warmer months, a short trip to the reservoir park in New London offers a refreshing swim. Noisy with highway and train traffic! The description of this property as serene falls short. It is located on a busy highway with traffic passing by constantly, day & night, including semi trucks that accelerated as they came out of Greenwich since this property is at the edge of town, not truly in the country. This would be unsafe for anyone with young children. Behind the property trains blow audibly loud whistles frequently then tracks rattle during each train’s length of passing. Porta pot needed cleaned. It had splash on seat & urinal, plus hand sanitizer no longer mounted for use. Fire pit needed weeded before we could start a fire. No horses were visible as described, however, just before we departed after our two night stay, a horse was finally released into pasture behind the property. The entrance could be more clearly marked as the sign was dark with faded numbers & no reflectors, which also brings up a safety concern due to the high traffic volume when turning into the drive. On the positive for the general area, we did enjoy hiking woodlands (short drive from property) and a bike path that was accessible in Wakeman (20 min drive). Downtown Greenwich appeared pretty vacant with only a gas station for coffee, an ice cream stand & pizza to go. Nearby BBQ restaurant offered pulled pork and burgers in a casual dining setting.

This was a perfect spot to pull over for the night on my trip back from Pennsylvania to Illinois! You literally pull in and there's your spot! Very convenient. Bring a sleep mask. It's a very quiet road but several cars going by until around midnight. Headlights. It has a nice fire pit and the bathroom is very close by.

Booked a night here last minute as a getaway after a day at cedar point. All in all it’s about 50 minutes from the park. Loved the site, perfect for what I needed!
