The Blue Ridge Basecamp Cabin is the perfect jump off spot for mountain adventures. The cabin is a 2-room backyard cabin in the heart of Western North Carolina. It is midway between Asheville and Brevard in small town Hendersonville, NC. Situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Hendersonville has all the best of Appalachia and all the best of southern hospitality. Take in the beauty of Western North Carolina – from apples to waterfalls and everything in between – and savor the different vibes of all the little mountain towns including Brevard, Asheville, Saluda, Chimney Rock, Cherokee, Bryson City, Black Mountain, and many more. Hendersonville is the perfect base due to its pedestrian-friendly downtown, paved Ecusta Trail, thriving culinary options, and proximity to many outdoor, family, and solo activities. Basecamp Cabin is 20 miles south of Asheville - which is the perfect location for small city adventures, while also providing a retreat to quiet nature-based activities. The Blue Ridge Basecamp Cabin is approximately 400 square foot, with separate living and kitchen area and bedroom. The kitchenette, with microwave, mini-fridge, electric kettle, and coffee makers allows you to get started or end your day with the drink or snack of your choice. The outdoor private shower is a true treat in any season! The cabin has a full murphy style bed (that can be stowed away for yoga or meditation or floor games). There is a bathroom with door and the outdoor shower has piping hot water. Blue Ridge Cabin is within walking distance to Main Street and gives you easy access to all Western North Carolina. It's really the perfect spot for the adventure seeker, mountain biker, hiker, fisherperson, and/or sightseer. Just to make sure you arrive to what you expect, we are in town - not in the forest. The shower is outdoor - there is privacy and there is hot water - but it is outside. The flush toilet is inside. The bed is a full bed. All lines are provided. The unit is for 2 adults. Dogs are permitted. Parking is on-street. So cozy! Very HYGGE

We had an absolutely spectacular stay at Blue Ridge Basecamp Cabin! From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat while still being incredibly convenient to downtown Hendersonville and all the amazing adventures Western North Carolina has to offer. The cabin was spotless, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Every detail made it feel cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. One of our favorite features was the outdoor shower—it was such a unique and relaxing experience! Laura was a wonderful host, making sure we felt welcome while giving us complete privacy. If you’re looking for a quiet mountain getaway that’s close to hiking, waterfalls, great restaurants, and charming downtown shops, this is the perfect place. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend—this place truly exceeded our expectations!

Base Camp Review

The BaseCamp at Hendersonville was wonderful. It was perfect for our stay and so well appointed. The living space is cozy and everything was provided for our comfort and rest. Laura was a fantastic host and the cabin was more than expected. We were able to easily access downtown Hendersonville and the Ecusta trail for a 15 mile bike ride. Perfect spot!
