Enjoy camping in low country, by the river. See the stars at night. Enjoy private land with a level gravel parking spot, located in a serene area tucked into farmland, mixed with some expansion. Sleep sound at night at this safe haven. And, Yes! Go out and explore. It’s only 15 minutes to the downtown Wilmington riverfront, and 20 to Southport. Go out to eat at a riverfront restaurant, take a boat ride, visit a brewery, and definitely go to see the battleship! This site is a short drive to Wrightsville Beach approximately 25 minutes, so pack your surfboards! (Going in yet another direction) The site is a 20 minute drive to charming Southport with shops, restaurants, a maritime museum, and the chance to see dolphins as boats pass by. Several movies and TV shows have been filmed in the area including “The Summer I Turned Pretty.” Also, you can go see the Oak Island lighthouse or take the ferry from Southport to Bald Head island, ride golf carts, and see the Bald Head Island Lighthouse, and learn about the native plants, and saving turtles. Visit Carolina Beach (also known as Pleasure Island) see the boardwalk, arcades, Brit’s donuts, and the marina which offers boat cruises. If it looks familiar then you’ve probably seen it on the TV show RJ Decker. Carolina beach, (Kure Beach and Fort Fisher) are all next to each other, and about a thirty minute drive. On down the road from Kure beach is Historic Fort Fisher, and the NC Aquarium. Adventure awaits at whichever direction you choose. Please note that this camp site has no septic, no electric. You can camp with an RV, and a generator. There’s no dumpster. Please keep site clean. There is a Community dock nearby (in walking distance from the site) that takes you through a trail in the woods, and all the way to a beautiful view of the river within a private dock where you could go fishing! The site is tucked in with farmland, but a short drive to conveniences. Lyft rides are available from the site to nightlife in downtown Wilmington! The area where this land is located has some expansion, and some new homes. The land is located down a country road beyond large fields, on a paved road with some woods, and some new construction on the street (but there’s no HOA) and it’s still a peaceful site for glamping. Save money, enjoy a little nature and RV camp on a rather quiet private piece of land where you may see nearby deer from dusk til dawn.Stay riverside. Where land, river, and coast come together. Situated in the tranquil countryside, you can camp in your RV and enjoy a farm vibe that’s only 15 minutes away from downtown Wilmington and the riverfront. Enjoy the community trail riverwalk to a spectacular view of the river- just a short walk from the camp! Explore nearby area beaches only a twenty or thirty minute drive away. There’s a lot of coast to explore from Southport (twenty minutes one way) or off in the other direction to Wrightsville Beach. This is a boondocking site, which means that there are no electric or water hookups. You're welcome to have a fire if it is propane powered, and not wood. There is high fire risk in the area.
