Each yurt boasts tranquil water features and charcoal BBQ grills for use during fire-safe seasons. Ten minutes from Mid-Town Ruidoso, New Mexico!Elk Ridge Escapes are located in the woods off Highway 48, adjacent to National Forest land. These beautiful yurts are approximately 10 minutes from Mid-Town Ruidoso, New Mexico. The mountain views here are spectacular. Expect friendly visitors in the form of wildlife like elk, deer, turkey, and wild horses. Keep in mind that yurts are constructed from wood and canvass-type material. You will hear outdoor sounds like rain or breezes more clearly than you would in a brick-and-mortar dwelling. This of course, is part of a yurts' camp-like charm. We keep chickens on nearby property, and you are welcome to visit them. If you would like fresh eggs from happy chickens just let me know.
