Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.

We’re in a drought and epidemic of deer! Property looks like crap and makes you feel like you’re on Tatooine and sand people will show up at any second to raid your tent! Centrally located tent site in my backyard, power hook up available. Walking distance to a small neighborhood market, steakhouse, gym, tattoo parlor, and various taverns on the Wisconsin side of Menominee River. More wildlife to see in my backyard than camping in the forest, guaranteed deer encounters and birds, rabbits, squirrels galore.This used to be a beautiful lush backyard…but then the deer apocalypse happened and there is nothing left. Kingsford has an embarrassingly large population of deer who live IN town and are afraid of NOTHING. There is an abundance of wildlife that resides in my yard year round- including cardinals that have raised their young here for generations. Tons of deer. You may have to fight them if they break in to your tent and coolers. Walking distance to a steakhouse called Henry’s and a small market that has the best meat around at excellent prices. A 24hr gym (membership required) one block away, and a few blocks south is the Menominee river and Wisconsin border. Many other stores, shops, gas stations and restaurants within walking distance as well. The site in my backyard features an electrical hookup and access to the hose for water.
