There are mountains, wetlands, meadows and forest land right in our back yard where we often see wildlife that call our area home. Elk, deer, turkeys, geese, ducks. rabbits, squirrels and the occasional cougar or bear. At any time, one critter or another will stroll through and check out our guests. We don't have a view of the river but it's nearby and our meadows and mountains offer a peaceful scene all its own. Camp surrounded by Old Growth Cedars and towering Grand Fir, stargaze by night, enjoy a campfire, smores and time with your family, Our peace includes little to no cellular service and don't offer internet or satellite tv. Feels like we're in the country but we live on a paved county road and only 4 miles from the city of Priest River. Bring your boat for a trip on the Pend Oreille River to Lake Pend Oreille. Launching is a short distance away at the Mud Hole, Priest River City Beach or Riley Creek Campground. Try your hand at fishing for bass, kokanee, perch, northern pike, and trout in the river or on the lake. Wake up in a peaceful woodsy setting where elk, deer, the occasional moose and turkeys roam the property and are often seen in the meadow. Load up your ATV, side by side or motorcycle and head for Priest Lake right from here. It’s a 21 mile (40 minute ride) to Coolin, ID. Enjoy the back county and take some of the IDL roads along the way to explore scenic drainages and in July/August pick some luscious huckleberries (the state fruit of Idaho) for a pancake or milkshake treat. In the fall, a nice central location for hunting camp. Want to go skiing or enjoy the summer lift ride? Head up to Schweitzer Mountain, about an hour drive away (38 miles/65 mins). The city of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille (Idaho's largest lake) are a half hour away (26 miles/33 mins) and Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, ID less than an hour away (36 miles/52 min).

The lot is fairly open and sunny with green vegetation for ground cover but gets afternoon shade from surrounding trees. Includes a fire pit with benches, picnic table, firewood, and a big deck/table. Adjacent to Site 5 and together would offer an opportunity as a group site. Children under 12 years of age free. A beautiful setting. Peaceful and roomy. More firewood than we could burn. This Hipcamp appears to be a several steps above the others we looked at with the individual sites well situated and established. Matt and Deb were great. Helped us get parked, checked on our needs. Let us know to touch base with them if we needed anything and stopped by in the afternoon/evening to check on us as well. Simply great people. Left feeling like we were part of the family. We’ll definitely be back.

This is a great spot to camp that is central to everything. We were greeted by Matt and Deb and they helped us get situated. They are great hosts. Site was level and so clean. We will definitely visit them again.

It's very beautiful peaceful and clean. A great place to disconnect from it all. Just minutes away from the town Priest River and resort town of Priest Lake, and all the adventures Northern Idaho provides. Yet you feel like your far away from everything but still close enough to drive to a city if you need to go shopping or get your city fix lol.. Matt and Deb are great hosts. Wheather you're in a RV a Camping trailer or a Tent they have a spot for you.

Matt and Deb were amazing hosts! Greated us as we pulled in. Helped us back into our spot and Matt helped me level my camper. They took the time to learn our names. Very friendly. They hide rocks for the kids to find and then they can turn the rocks in for a prize. My girls loved this! Very clean sites. Firewood is provided. Porta potty is there if needed. I can’t recommend this spot enough. Thank you Matt and Deb for an amazing experience. We will be back

We had a lovely stay! Beautiful campsites and facilities. Lots of care and attention to the little details! My kids loved looking for the painted rocks. Matt and Deb are so friendly. 10/10 would recommend if you are visiting the area. I love cedars and big trees and believe me they do not disappoint.

Beautiful, quiet, and clean. They supply free firewood (though there were no fires at this time). Who does that these days?! The porta potty was clean and there was a little sink for hand washing. We saw deer, elk and turkey in the meadow. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Deb & Mac were superb host, they definitely went beyond the call of host! Their cedar circle was super clear, well groomed, private and peaceful. Very relaxing to sit back to read, play cards or corn hole. The Pend Orielle River is 10 away for water access and PO Lake is 30 mins away. I would definitely refer this camp to those who would like solitude.

Matt and Deb's campsite, Under The Cedars, is fantastic and they are excellent hosts! The sites are well treed and the amenities and spaces are very well maintained. The location is central to many hot spots including Priest Lake, Silverwood, and Sandpoint. Our 35' travel trailer easily fit in the spot we had. We absolutely recommend Under The Cedars!
