The campsite offers an enchanting escape into nature, perfect for those looking to unwind by the water. Many guests cherished the opportunity to kayak, paddleboard, and spot manatees, while the peaceful surroundings added to the overall relaxing experience. However, some visitors noted issues with outdated facilities and inadequate climate control, which may detract from the stay during hotter weather. While the location boasts a scenic view and various activities, it may not meet all expectations for comfort and modern amenities.

We loved our second stay. Experienced the river coming over the dock and lounging on the foam mat. It was the best and we will be back.

Doesn't recommend
The place was so unsanitary that we could not sleep there and had to book a hotel room just to sleep at. There were multiple live roaches upon arrival, heavy smell and the 2nd floor deck railing was up to our knees...we have two 5 yr olds. Huge safety issue. There was no picture of the bathroom....and that is because the bathtub was so discolored it was unsanitary for our children to use (and use). The Host GHOSTED ME when I messaged them about all this and wouldn't give me a refund. Don't book with this company either: they denied my refund as well! No communication or support from both the Host and Hipcamp. I had to pay for TWO rentals this vacation. Two.

It was okay
The upstairs rooms were great and met the mark. The host was welcoming. We booked a two night stay and honestly left a day early. It came down to the living space below where the extremely high tides have caused water intrusion coming through the walls which caused a smell that was hard to get passed. If you have a gas powered boat then maybe you can get to the spring type water but dont expect the close access beyond that.
