First Hipcamper Club

Springs adventure central with clothing-optional forest camp. We are a 15-acre permaculture chaos gardening project focused on sustainability. We host 'leave no trace camping' for our friends that wish to support our goals. We request respectful eco-friendly guests and have restrictions against using accelerants to start fires. All wood ash and charcoal are used in our biochar-making process to help transform the soil for our agroforestry project. We have electric plugins for RV and basic power on the driveway with potable water. We are in a prime location for campers interested in spring adventures, with many springs within 20-35 mins and many more within 60 minutes' drive, and only 35 to Gainesville. We can assist with shuttling gear to the river or join in on the adventure! Please request your dates to be sure we do not double book. We host dog boarding with Rover app, which means your pet is welcome when booked on the app at a special discounted rate to Hip Campers. Need to leave but can't take your pet? We can give walks and meals as well as crate or kennel them until your return to camp. Please read the RULES carefully. Our gate is lighted with 24/7 camera surveillance watching the street, and infrastructure but you are on your own out in the forest!Peaceful camp near many springs and rivers nestled in a permaculture forest garden. We host to 1 guest at a time so you will not have other campers near you. The site is exclusively yours and secure. Minutes from a large new Publix grocery store and great local restaurants like Off the Beet in Trenton, FL. A different spring and river adventure in every direction and choice of local towns to visit, while only 35 minutes from Gainesville. We host dog boarding with Rover app and you get a special discounted rate to book your pup in to camp with you. We will help walk and care for them if you must go out and leave them at camp. Site includes use of the main forest camp with a compost toilet in an A-frame garden shed, 8-foot picnic table, netted gazebo with chairs and table, firepit, 3 hammock stands and ample room to erect a tent. There is a power hook up on the driveway and RV hookups at the top of the drive near the garden hose and clean well water spigot. The water comes from the house well filter and is potable.

    Recommends

Coming from a perspective of a traveling homesteader, this is a great property with a lot of life. Very accommodating host, who wants to see everyone happy, even sometimes to the detriment of his own needs. I would definitely recommend staying here if you desire a place to recharge, reconnect, and exist in a safe and comfortable space.
