Nestled under the old oak forest and longleaf pines, listen for the owls and woodpeckers. Walk the path or relax in the couch swing. Quiet, secluded, close to Gainesville yet eons away. Heartwood Soundstage, downtown Gainesville, "The Swamp" - Go Gators! and UF 1/2 hour away. Blue Springs, Ginnie Springs, Poe Springs, and Ichetucknee Springs parks all within an hour's drive. Equally close to Fanning, Manatee and Rainbow Springs. If you just need a quick getaway or a base camp for vacation explorations, this is the place for you. Enclosed dog park for off leash pups. Fenced paddocks and covered stalls available at additional cost. 2 mile dirt road leads you back into the woods and away from the noise into a paradise time forgot. RTC Tiny Theater and workshop also available at an additional cost for bands, theater, circus and dance rehearsals and performances. Self-funded residencies available.

New this year a more comfortable picnic table too! Quiet, tree covered area close to the outdoor shower and restroom. Water and electric on site. The Flintstone neighbor site is adjacent for those that want to camp together, yet far enough to provide some distance. Surrounded by trees on 3 sides, it connects to the walking path that winds around the entire property.

Arrived late and were greeted by the hosts despite the hour! Thanks again Lynn and David. We picked the place for proximity to springs and the Micanopy Fall festival. Perfect weekend get away!

I can't rave enough about this venue. Lynn and Dave are great hosts of a beautiful nature getaway. If you're looking for a peaceful place to camp in nature away from the unpredictable experiences of State Parks and RV parks, Artists Nature Retreat is the place to book. I won't spoil the surprise, but the barn where the shower and bathroom are has some wonderful memorabilia from Dave and Lynn's past vocation in a classic entertainment show. I will definitely be returning.

My friends and I absolutely loved this place! Such a cute, laid back camping spot. Very quiet from people area, but so loud and vibrant with a variety of animals and bird sounds too! The owners were incredible and even gave us a short tour of the property. They also had an outdoor shower and an bathroom that was so clean and nice! We truly loved our stay and hope to come back soon!
