Private Farm Stay on 20 Acres in Connecticut Stay on a 20-acre historic Connecticut farm, just a short drive from Hartford. Peacefield Farm features a 1749 Saltbox farmhouse at its center, along with a red barn, pond, hay and flower fields, woods, and a greenhouse. This is not a campground. You will park in the hayfield among open fields that have been cultivated since colonial times. In summer, the greenhouse is hopping and the flower beds are in bloom; autumn transforms the woods and hayfields. At night, enjoy dark skies and the sounds of night birds, crickets, and bullfrogs from the pond. Camping is simple: no hookups, showers, or guest toilets. RVs and campers must be fully self-contained, and guests are requested to leave the space as they found it.Very quiet and privite area in former hay field between two groves of trees. 16 ft rooftop tent

We made last minute reservations to stay due to bad weather. The host was a great communicator, and checked in on us to make sure we were safe on our travels to the farm. There were three cute pups that greeted us in the morning. The property is beautiful and private, located down a scenic and well maintained gravel road. The host even cut us a lovely bouquet from the garden to take with us. What a dream! We hope to return some day!
