Fire Mountain Farmstead has easy access to the area's many attractions. Right on Hwy 92, 7 minutes to downtown Hotchkiss and 20 min to Paonia. Drive 45 min to the Black Canyon's North Rim, or 45 min the other direction to the Grand Mesa. World class fishing right down the road! High desert views of the Gunnison Gorge and the Uncompahgre Plateau. We raise Dorper sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, and pigs. We also grow 90% of our own food and have a market garden for a popular Paonia Producer's Market. We sell meat, eggs, veggies, herbs, medicinal tinctures, hand-made soap, and more! All of these items are available for our guests to purchase, although some are only available seasonally. Inquire with your hosts for more information or to schedule a farm tour! Smoking OK outside, 420 friendly! ------- Things to note: There's ongoing road work on the highway in front of the Tiny House Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm that is scheduled to continue through November 2025. Prices are discounted to reflect potential inconveniences caused by this activity. No refunds will be given due to road work. The tiny house is close to the road, so you may experience some noise. Earplugs are complimentary and there is a white noise machine for your use. If you'll bring a dog, it is expected that you pick up after them. Bags are provided. The property is not entirely fenced, so dogs must be leashed when outside. Despite our best efforts to clean between guests, we cannot guarantee that there will not be any dog hair or dander in the tiny house. We recommend that you don't stay with us if you have an allergy to dogs. The TV is set up for you to use your favorite streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc), but you must have your own accounts to use them. The bathroom doesn’t have a ceiling and is open at the top to the rest of the house. By booking with us, you agree to hold the hosts harmless should any illness or injury occur. There is a fire pit available for guest use outside. We provide a bundle of kindling and a few starter pieces of firewood. More firewood is available at local gas stations and grocery stores. Use of this amenity is dependent on local fire restrictions. There are some spiky seeds in the in the yard called goat heads or puncture vine. They can get stuck in dogs paws and your shoes (which is why we ask you remove your shoes inside). Most of the area immediately around the tiny house is clear but if you venture towards the edges of the yard, you may find some.
