We LOVED our stay in Juniper Yurt! The view is unbelievable, and the yurt is lovely, cozy, and surprisingly spacious. Ginger was really helpful and communicative. I couldn't recommend it more - such a peaceful stay.

This was a beautiful place to stay. Everything you need is there. Blankets, cookware, etc. if you’re nervous about mountain driving this may not be the place for you as the road up is very narrow and windy!

Juniper is the perfect little getaway with just enough amenities to make it feel like luxury camping! Having an ample amount of fresh water and a power source to charge devices was really nice (note: if you have a USB-C device, be sure to bring a USB cable or adapter). Ginger was a very thoughtful host and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

What an incredible view. We had so much fun driving the twisting roads to get to the yurt after days filled with hiking and biking. The cool mornings and evenings were perfect for a coffee or glass of wine with stunning mountain views. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, like cute robes and local honey in the cupboard, which was especially nice given our allergies.

what an awesome glamping experience. pics are all accurate. The road is not hard to navigate. I did it with no problems in a Tesla. It is a steep and narrow dirt road for about mile. The stove is propane which makes inside very cozy when I was there at 45 degrees at night. Basalt is a short 10 minutes away for a wide range of restaurants and activities including getting to Aspen for the day.

This place was great. Amazing views! Easy access to Basalt and Aspen. Bed was comfy and the outdoor shower was fun. Beautiful stargazing too. We really enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely loved our little yurt weekend at Juniper! Ginger communicated directions and details very thoroughly. The yurt was beautiful, clean and cozy!! Quiet and secluded but just minutes from downtown Basalt where we found great food and drinks. The views were beautiful, and we enjoyed a cozy little evening on the patio watching the sunset. The yurt had everything we needed and more. We’ll be back!

Highly recommend this place! Gingers yurt is a delight , you have an amazing view of the mountains from the porch , the yurt is massive ! All you could want is included , from blankets to the stove and fridge , loved the outdoor showering so relaxing ! 10/10

Highly recommend Juniper Yurt for an outdoor getaway. It was very clean and well equipped with all items one would need for their stay. There is a USB charging port for electronics. The outdoor shower worked great. Fresh spring water tasted delicious. The road is definitely not for a nervous or inexperienced driver. It is mostly single lane and windy - recommend doing it for the first time during the day versus a night arrival. I’m very much looking forward to returning here again.

Ginger’s Juniper yurt was true to the photos! Beautiful drive and view and flower lined property. Spacious and clean. Not far from towns and restaurants but also perfectly off grid. Ginger was responsive and attentive and we will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend ❤️

This place was absolutely stunning! Even more beautiful in person and so many amenities! The shower was awesome, the bed super comfy, the bathroom had awesome views! 10/10 place! The town was so cute too and we loved the craft coffeehouse recommendation! We went there both mornings and got amazing avocado toast!!! So delicious!

Juniper Yurt was a true delight. My partner & I brought our fur kids for a three night stay. We were in awe as we drove the winding one lane road to the yurt. I spotted it on the mountain and pointed it out and my partner thought no way! Yes way! It was up in the trees, on Ginger & Robb’s homestead. Our stay, off the grid, was perfect in every way. It was stormy the first couple of nights- yurt rattling, bone shaking stormy- the perfect night to stay in. After the storm we enjoyed the Basalt Sunday market for local goods. We hiked (loved Frying Pan overlook), explored and just relaxed. The views from the deck, the patio, Ginger’s honey… all perfect. If you are looking for an off the grid yurt experience in the true beauty of Basalt, Juniper Yurt is not to be missed. A special thank you for sharing this stunningly beautiful slice of heaven.

We loved our stay at the Yurt! It had everything we needed for a weekend away. There were different spices to cook with, games and puzzles! The view is incredible and it is so peaceful.

This place was amazing. I've been to some Hip Camp places that weren't exactly what they seemed. We were bringing two kids and a dog with us so I was anxious that it wouldn't be what we hoped. It was perfect, exactly what we wanted. The bed was so comfortable and the girls slept great on the pull out couch. My 11yo said her favorite part is the bench past the shower up next to the stream. The bench is surrounded by medicinal plants like yarrow, mullein and chamomile. She liked to go sit there in the mornings. My 3yo says her favorite part was hiking up behind the yurt to the waterfall. The only thing I'd mention is that there isn't a way to plug anything in other than 12v and two USB ports. We had brought a box fan and a rice cooker, but weren't able to use them. They are totally off the grid and only use solar energy (which is amazing!), but we just happened to go during record breaking highs so a fan would've been helpful. But we just ran through the sprinkler and sat down in the little creek and went down to town and swam in the river. We went to unplug and were able to just hang out as a family without screens. We played tons of Uno and the girls ran around like wild children. It's very secluded, it's at the end of the lane so no one goes by you. It was magical. I would love to come back.

We stayed at the Aspen Yurt in late July of 2024. Ginger's place is absolutely beautiful! The location is scenic and very private. The Yurt includes everything you need to prepare meals and just relax. The outdoor shower is wonderful and the bathroom is comfortable and convenient. We had two adults and two children under 13. There is plenty of room to spread out and the Yurt is bigger than expected. It was very clean with plenty of towels and extra blankets for the cool summer nights. I would highly recommend this property if you're looking for an off the grid experience with all the amenities still. The Yurt is about 10 minutes up the mountain from Basalt and 35 minutes from Aspen. Ginger was very helpful and timely in responding to anything we needed. We hope to visit again!

Amazing views from the Juniper yurt! This was our first time in a yurt, and it was a great experience! We enjoyed the seclusion and the plentiful outdoor activities in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice stay at Gingers yurt. Completely private up a windy dirt but well graded and easily drivable road. Extremely dog friendly with gate and provided bowls, dog bed, blanket, etc. Beautifully appointed space with quality finishings. Loved the outdoor shower in the oak grove. Was very hot in mid July so keep that in mind.

The Juniper Yurt is incredible! It is beautifully situated with the most amazing views. The yurt is spacious and well-equipped. The outdoor shower was amazing as was sitting on the deck enjoying the views after our daily hikes. I would highly recommend staying here!

This was an exceptional yurt experience! Excellent location & the yurt was extremely well appointed & stocked. There was literally nothing we needed that wasn’t provided - nice dishes & towels, blankets for the patio at night, dog bowels, all the kitchen utensils & accessories we needed, games & puzzles, and very nice & comfortable furniture & bedding. The views from the yurt patio were outstanding & the location was as well - an easy & beautiful 5 min drive down the mountain to the heart of downtown Basalt. We had very high expectations based on the photos & reviews but they were exceeded! Thank you Ginger - we’ll definitely be back!!
