Beer and wine lovers will appreciate being close to Fieldbrook Winery and some of the region’s best craft breweries. There is one full size bed that sleeps 2 people, one full sized futon and a toddler bed/love seat, and plenty of space for airmattresses or sleeping pads. Bedding is only provided for the bed, you will need to bring your own for the futon and toddler bed.

High hopes, low results
Fieldbrook Gnome Dome
We were very excited for this stay but unfortunately it was not what we expected. Because there were no windows in the dome and it doesn’t appear the vent fan on the ceiling gets used (it was covered in cobwebs), it was incredibly stuffy and smelled like mildew and mold. My husband started to feel it in his breathing not long after we arrived, and we decided to book a stay elsewhere. Additionally, we were expecting a composting toilet, but were surprised that it was not similar to ones we have used, as you had to bag the waste and put it in the garbage can next to the entrance to the dome. The pictures of the dome were strategically taken, it shows glorious redwoods and looks secluded, but in reality is right next to the home, and the bed felt a bit exposed with no curtains.

A really cool place but Not ideal for more than two (the futon is not great) Very rustic but plenty of wood supplied to keep the fire going.

Our overall impression was really wonderful. our host was able to accommodate us coming in a day early, everything was laid out and explained well, and the design was so welcoming and comfortable that we felt right at home. Highly recommend this site!

Beautiful place, didn't expect to be as close to main house but not terrible if your comfortable with that. There was no lock on the door but otherwise it was a very nice and comfortable place to stay! I would go again!

Fieldbrook Gnome Dome
The dome is a great space with a beautiful view of the trees. Jada is very responsive and has provided everything you might need for your stay. It was colder than we expected, especially in the morning, and for June (we should have packed for colder weather), but the dome does warm up (electric heater and wood stove).

We loved staying in the gnome dome. It was the perfect stop on our way north to see the redwood parks. The place was clean and had all of the necessities to cook, clean, eat, etc. It was also cozy and very well decorated. Would definitely recommend staying. Thanks Jada!
