Glamping done right!
I loved glamping at Spring Valley Farm. The views were amazing and our tiny house was so cute inside and out! Very quiet weekend, I felt super relaxed and it was very easy to located from the GPS. I would recommend for couples or small families, not much to do unless you travel to SML or go horse back riding, which was just enough for our weekend get away with no children.

Cozy Modern Cabin in the Woods
Very nice, clean modern cabin in a beautiful location, on a beautiful farm. Each cabin has its own firepit, grill, picnic table and porch and plenty of space away from the other cabins. On the interior the bed is large and roomy, shower and bathroom is clean, there's a fridge, kitchen area has many tools for easy cooking.
Some minor cons:
-There were some wasps/hornets hovering on the porch, but host supplied us with very effective wasp killer spray promptly when we requested.
Seems to have a small water heater, that reheats quickly, but plan accordingly for your showers.
There's a TV with streaming options, but no wifi in the cabin (there is regular live tv also)

The place was beautiful and quite! Communication was lacking but would definitely go back and refer friends to it. And would do the horse back riding again! They were awesome!

We had a great time at Spring Valley Farms!! Everyone was so nice and simply awesome!! If you are looking for a great place to get away, enjoy time together and just recharge, this is it!!! We are already planning a return trip just the two of us alone.

Spent 3 days at Site 5. Definitely a great place to stay with kids ( mine are 5 and 7). The horse rides passing through the cabin area are a great way to entertain the kids in addition to the rides itself which all can enjoy at Spring Valley Farms. The place has an electric stove, microwave and a small refrigerator to get us through with warm food. Will recommend to carry extra utensils with lids as the electric stove can consume additional time to cook/ heat things up. You can visit the Smith Mountain Lake area in 30 mins and hike and fish in nearby places. One recommendation will be to add brighter LED lights in the room.

Peaceful Cabins in a Beautiful Spot
We stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. It made a great base camp to explore the blue ridge parkway, roanoke, and Smith Mountain Lake. The cabins are adorable!! We stayed in cabin #4, which had a very comfortable bed, was clean, and had nice hot water for showers after a long day of hiking. The property is stunning, rolling hills with ample walking trails and a fish pond. We loved having a fire and being able to relax and get some reading done on the porch. This was a perfect getaway at an amazing price!! If we are ever planning another trip to the area, we would definitely stay here again!

A Cozy Cabin with Pasture Views
My husband and I really enjoyed our visit to Spring Valley Cabins! The host was helpful and friendly and the cabin was clean and had a really cool, rustic style! We had a great view of the horse pastures and pond with mountains in the distance. The cabin is fully equipped with kitchen appliances and dishes and there is a nice picnic table and fire pit outside. Spring Valley Cabins is located about a half hour away from Smith Mountain Lake State Park, so my husband and I took the opportunity to explore the area and mountain bike on some of the trails around the lake. We would definitely recommend this cozy spot!

This was a great place to stay and perfect for what it was supposed to be -- little to no frills, simple, clean, and comfortable. I say this as a very high compliment. While it was nothing terribly luxurious, it did not hold itself out to be. However, everything was very well executed, and there were no corners cut, which I find to be rare in our space-sharing travels. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

Little piece of paradise
Our cabin was perfect - everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable and the landscape was beautiful. My nephew found a friend and they had the best time playing in the creek.

A quiet retreat and more!
Our stay was more than we expected! Upon booking, we thought we were only reserving cabins in the woods but we didn’t know it was part of the Spring Valley Farms. We had access to their farm, fishing ponds, petting zoo, horse/cow pastures to explore and options to book horseback rides. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The cabins were nestled into a very shady area and are within site of each other but spaced enough to still provide privacy. We enjoyed the piece and quiet on the porch and took naps in our hammocks. The cabins are a bit rustic but that added to the experience (pictures on site are accurate). The horseback riding was great! We had so much fun we booked a second excursion during our stay. The horses are very friendly and we were encouraged to NOT follow the horse directly in front of us (unlike most trail rides). Smith Mountain Lake is close by to enjoy the lake and hiking. Also recommend going to Homestead Creamery (it was recommended and well worth the drive! - we went twice!). Looking forward to booking again in the future.

Cute property, questionable service
The tiny cabin experience was generally a nice one. The space itself was clean and cozy. It seemed that the mini fridge was broken but the freezer was at least working. I was happy to have access to a shower, comfortable bed, a/c room, etc. My only complaint lies in the communication/failure to properly communicate on the part of the host. I guess the host (also the owner of the property) was on vacation which made communication more difficult for her. However, no one was responsive to the "after hours" number she gave me to call and I was only able to stay there because of the help I received from the farm hands at Michelle's stable. If I hadn't had the luck of running into those girls I would have had to high tail it back to the closest city and stay at a hotel which would have been an inconvenience especially considering my night at the tiny cabin was already paid for! So, hopefully it was just an off day for them and they're more attentive with all guests in the future.

Had an amazing visit!
Michelle and Chad lead our first trail ride on Tuesday. Had so much fun we signed up for a second. The facilities are rustic, but seriously, it's a farm first! The cabin was clean and cute. Had everything we needed. Loved the porch. Sat out everyday and enjoyed listening to the rain. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our cabin was right next to the pasture and barn so we got to see the horses everyday. Sydney even let us help feed them one day! Courtney was in our second trail ride. She kept checking on everyone and was very engaging. She told us about Homestead Creamery so we wandered that way. Was so good, we went back a second and third time during our visit. Thanks for such a great girl's trip! We are already talking about our next trip!!

Great location with lots to do!

My family loved the location and set up. We were able to enjoy watching the horses, play in the creek, and do some fishing at the pond, all close to the cabin. The kids and I liked having the amenities within the cabin, and my husband enjoyed sleeping in his hammock outside. The farm was only a short drive away where we visited with a variety of animals, my daughter took two pony rides, and I went on my first trail ride. All staff were nice, helpful, and professional. We all really had a great long weekend and hope to be able to visit again next year!

Very enjoyable
We enjoyed our stay and we liked it soo much we tried to stay an extra night. The place was book and we couldn't. If you like rustic you will love this place. There are many places to see stars. They also have many animals to pet. I am very sure we will be back again!

Relaxing weekend getaway
We had a great time! Lots of animals to see! Cabin definitely rustic, although we did have plenty of hot water, a shower and tv.
A second set of sheets would’ve been nice, as we used the pull out, which was not made up. Probably could’ve asked the owner, as they did come by to check if we needed anything! Luckily, I had brought a set with me!
All in all, a good deal and very relaxing!

Quite, cute, rustic
Group trip
The space was exactly what we needed. Come prepared to rough it. The cabin is definitely rustic but the outdoor space makes up for it. We enjoyed the view off of the front porch overlooking the horse pasture where we hung a hammock for each of us. The kiddos enjoyed fishing in the pond and we all loved the walk down by the creek (pups and all). Make sure to pack a few pots and pans and utensils if you plan to cook a big meal, otherwise you can make do with the basics provided. Also, we did not know that you can book trail rides directly through them. Text the contact after you book. This was a great place to relax and enjoy a slower pace. Also, a quick drive to Smith Mt lake State Park for boating, hiking, fishing. Lots to do.
