From Perdido Key, you can kayak to visit some of the 400 acres of bayou along this seashore administered by the National Park Service. (Keep an eye open for armadillos!)
A trip back in time is on deck for you at historic sites like Fort Pickens. Don't be surprised if you find you have the beach and dunes almost to yourself. You may come home with pristine seashells and sand dollars.
