Really nice property. Perfect spot, had the whole camping area to ourselves. Very nice host, and beautiful property. Long gravel road out to property but we had a small car and still worked well.

Quiet, rustic and a great fire pit, Worthy of a respectful campfire. We drive a 25' motorhome to the site. About 20 minutes each way over some primitive roads, but we found it worth it. I understand that Justin has owned the property for a little over a year and I have no doubt there will be improvements season after season.

Very beautiful stay. Craig the host was very helpful and ensured we were comfortable and ready for our time there, even though we arrived after dark. Lovely indoor camp fire, musical instruments, and a very comfortable bed. Definitely would love to go back and would highly recommend.

It was my first time camping and it will be my most memorable stay Corey is a great host, she posted all the instructions on how to arrive at the site in advance. There are 4 sites but when we arrived there were no other campers which made our trip more adventurous We stayed at site #1, the bed is comfy and the view early morning is breathtaking Please take the woods bundle pack from Corey. It will be cheaper for you and you can use as much as you can

The site was super cute and welcoming! The tent and bed were super spacious and comfortable. There are fire pits scattered around the site and they even have one down near the creek with chairs and fairy lights! Absolutely delightful stay and my boyfriend loved it for his surprise gift!

This was so lovely! The tents are clean and tidy, and very cozy and warm. The bed and bedding were toasty and comfy. The land was beautiful and the small creek was so refreshing. The outhouse was very tidy and nicely organized, but a bit smellier: it was right after a long weekend, so no surprises after lots of use! It can be a bit tricky to find in the dark and there’s no GPS, so be sure to read the detailed directions very closely BEFORE you lose service, unlike me 😅 Overall, a lovely little getaway space, peaceful and remote, but close to town for needs, and just a quick drive to Waterton. I also found the host very helpful and responsive which ruled :)

Our time at Cept Ranch was wonderful, it is so quiet, beautiful views, the lake was wonderful. The ride in is a bit rough, but totally doable. If you enjoy being off grid, this place is fabulous. The host Justin was very accommodating and super great to deal with.

I sold a business in Toronto and moved West in 1990 and drove all over North America looking for a new place to settle and raise a family. While camping in the Kootenay's I found this oasis and bought it. I have raised a family living totally off the grid since and love it. The water here is so clean and and the air is so fresh is why I stay. The night sky is so hard to explain it has to be seen to believe. Come check it out and you will agree. Learn more about this land: Enjoy camping on our 25-acre property just outside of Cranbrook, BC! We have multiple spots to choose from. You can camp beside the creek, in an open field, or up high with beautiful views of the valley. It all depends on your preferences and the privacy that you desire. We welcome tent and RV campers. If you're bringing an RV, there are sites that do not require levelling and we can accommodate vehicles up to 75ft in length. Bring your animals - there are a lot of great spaces for them to play! Our yard is equipped for horseback riding with a horse ring and stable. The property is a great step-off point for ATV, dirt bikes, horseback and hiking adventures. Potable water, toilet, picnic table, wifi and showers are available. Pets welcome, campfires permitted. We are a 15-20 minute drive to Cranbrook. Wakita encompasses 25 acres of diverse wilderness and clearings. The land was developed in the 70's as an education, arts and health retreat and that history influences its atmosphere today. A small mountain creek meanders past gardens, berry patches, rustic cabins and a stage. The land is peppered with Ancient burned out cedar trunks that stand as a testament to the wildfire that razed the valley and the town of Fernie in the early 1900's. If guests are interested in a tour we will show you our favorites! Since Wakita borders on the wilderness of BC, we ask that our guests exercise common sense when it comes to food and fires. Upon arrival, we will provide information on the use of woodstoves, firepits, composting outhouses (for a-frame and campsites), etc. Wakita is a 15 min drive from all of the amenities and adventure available in beautiful Fernie, BC. Explore further up our road and you will find the trailheads for popular hikes to Mount Hosmer, the Three Sisters and Heiko's trail. Overview

About

Although Crowsnest Provincial Park doesn’t have any campgrounds, it is a prime spot for day-use activities along the BC-Alberta border. Hike Crowsnest Ridge, stop in to enjoy the surrounding scenery and keep an eye out for wintering elk and deer, or head over to nearby Crowsnest Pass for over 40 hiking and biking trails. Historically, this area was important to the Ktunaxa (pronounced Too-na-ha) First Nations. More recently, the area was used by fur traders and railroad builders as a low point to pass through the Rockies from east to west.

When to go

The best time to go is from early July to late August, when the wildflowers are in full bloom, or in late October and early November, when the snow in the high country draws elk and deer herds down near the pass.

Know before you go

No overnight stays are permitted in the park.
Pets are allowed but must be kept leashed.
Frontcountry camping can be found nearby at Crowsnest Pass Campground, Lost Lemon Campground, Chinook Provincial Area, Lundbreck Falls Provincial Recreation Area, and at the more off-the-beaten-path Lynx Creek Campground.
