The Little Cabin offers a mountainside basecamp, getaway, vacation or a more scenic overnight travel stop to allow you and your fur baby to enjoy some Wyoming open space. Bring water, cabin is dry and snacks. I do keep some basics in the cabin so if you are traveling grab a meal, snacks and some water, the cabin is stocked with the rest of what you'll need for a night's stay without having to unpack the vehicle. If you're traveling I80, the Little Cabin is a great place to enjoy the sunset or just a peaceful night's sleep after enjoying the Snowy Range Scenic byway in the summer and a possible work around if the interstate is closed in the winter. If you're coming in from Denver/Ft Collins, Co area, Poudre Canyon is a beautiful drive and can take you thru Walden, Co or bring you in on Wyo 10. There is Hiking, Fishing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country skiing, Downhill skiing, (Snowy Range Ski Area) Hot Springs, Mountain Lakes, Plains Lakes, the Big Laramie River, all with in a 5-to-90-mile radius. There is public access, dogs allowed, to the Big Laramie River across the highway where you can fish or walk the public access path that runs alongside it.
Watching the wildlife is an experience of its own. From Chipmunks to deer, we see an assortment. If you enjoy birds and their sounds, you can pick a spot and enjoy. If you are a weather watcher, you may see 3-4 seasons in one day depending on the time of year. It's a great place to snuggle in, read a book, write a book, watch a downloaded movie or just sleep, but disconnect from the chaos and the alerts.

The YL Ranch is a welcoming and inclusive restorative guest ranch seeking to reestablish our connection to one another, community, nature, and the outdoors. The YL is a sanctuary for the weary, a retreat, and a place to be whole again, inspiring creatives and explorers.
In 2018, Jock and Kimberly opened the ranch gate to guests, reunions, retreats, camps, and other special events. In 2022, we welcomed the launch of the Wyoming Backcountry Discovery Route and the many adventure motorcyclists from around the world!
In 2017, Jonathan Boyer and his wife, Kimberly Coats, returned to their ranch in Wyoming. The YL was Jock’s childhood home. They had spent the previous decade in Rwanda running the Rwandan National Cycling Team. Jock’s boyhood dream has always been to return to the ranch and share its special gifts with friends and guests from around the world. The YL Ranch has been in the Boyer family since 1905.
Jock and Kimberly look forward to welcoming you with their own unique style of warm Wyoming hospitality. The YL is open year-round and can accommodate up to 25-30 guests in summer and 20 in winter.

We are located 4 miles from Routt National Forest. You'll arrive at the ranch headquarters and we will either take you to the sheep wagon or give you directions to it. The sheep wagon is nestled in an Aspen grove (on 56 acres) with a creek just 12 feet away. From there, you are 1/4 mile away from the national forest and the wilderness. There are thousands of acres to explore, either by hiking , biking or horseback riding. You are also just minutes away from great trout fishing lakes and streams. While here ask about ranch tours and visiting with our sheep, horses, cows and chickens! There will be cattle or sheep on the property with the sheep wagon. Linda's cabin was exactly what we were looking for - a place to get off our phones, relax and have fun with our pup. I spent most of the daylight hours outside wrapped in a blanket on the Adirondack chairs with my furry buddy at my feet.
The cabin is well equipped with a a heater, microwave, mini fridge and electric kettle. There is also a propane BBQ just outside the cabin which we didn't use this trip, but will keep in mind for future visits.
Our pup, Petra, had so much fun and I felt very comfortable having her off leash while exploring the property. She loved the treats Linda left for her each day!
We were very comfortable; it was the perfect getaway.

The cabin was a perfect mountain get away! Linda was extremely helpful, offering detailed directions, fresh cookies and fresh coffee in the morning. The property and view was breathtaking, pictures just don’t do it justice. The drive out is gorgeous and you get right into the mountains and backcountry. Amazing getaway for some peace and star gazing!

We loved staying at the Little Cabin With a View. Perfect for two people and the dogs had a ton of room to roam. It is a fabulous spot for dogs off the leash. They'd run around and come back...run around some more and come back. Linda is very welcoming and knows the area. And she dropped coffee off outside the door of the cabin every morning!!

We recently spent 3 days-2 nights at the Little Cabin with a View. Our host, Linda, was super welcoming—from the chocolate chip cookies awaiting us when we arrived, to the thermos of hot coffee sitting outside our cabin door each morning. The cabin is indeed little, but quite comfortable and cute. The veranda out the front door of the cabin has a great view of the Laramie River Valley and is the perfect spot to sip your morning coffee. The highlight of our trip was the incredible star gazing from the veranda and the small deck that’s a short walk up the hill from the cabin. We highly recommend the Little Cabin with a View for your next Hipcamp adventure.

Moose Haven was the perfect remote getaway - my dog didn’t want to leave! It was nice being in close proximity to so many trails, but the cabin was also great for a cozy place to read, watch hummingbirds, and relax. Linda was such a thoughtful and kind host! The land and cabin are beautiful and I can’t say enough good things about Linda! It was a perfect stop on our road trip and we definitely plan to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Little Cabin with a view
We stayed at Linda's little cabin from Saturday to Sunday and it was absolutely beautiful. It exceeded our expectations. Views of the mountains are amazing, the sky was so clear at night, and you can see all the stars. The cabin itself is adorable; she has everything you could need in it. Linda is so sweet, we got caught in a thunderstorm while out exploring and she dried our clothes and sneakers for us. She brought us fresh cookies and coffee. We would absolutely recommend this place; time slows down there. It was such a nice break from the everyday hustle and bustle. We will be back and next time for longer than one night :)

The area is beautiful and the cabin is very comfortable and well maintained. Deb had some really great stories and information on wildlife in the area when she greeted us. Overall the stay was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Linda's place is truly a gem and she is a wonderful host! So thoughtful and accommodating. The area is quiet and peaceful, with a lovely river nearby. Linda provided everything we needed (our pup too!) to have a relaxing stay.

2 nights at 22 West Cabins & Recreation
We had a great stay here. We appreciated all the kitchen supplies and other amenities. It was very peaceful and we saw moose and deer just off our porch. We recommend the rainbow lakes trail at the end of the street it was fantastic.

We had the most incredible stay at Boyer YL Ranch in Wyoming! We stayed in the historic barn loft and it was absolutely magical—full of charm, peacefulness, and the perfect mix of rustic and comfortable.
The host was so kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our kids especially loved playing in the river just steps from the loft and discovering books in the little lending library. It felt like stepping into a slower, more beautiful way of life. We even saw a moose just steps from the barn!
We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already planning our next visit. Couldn’t recommend it more—we will definitely be going back!
