Step out the door of this cozy little rustic, dry, one room mountainside cabin, to disconnect from Wi-Fi (none) and chaos to view sunsets, wide open, star filled, and moon lit night skies with the Milky Way and a few satellites as a bonus.
The Little Cabin offers a mountainside basecamp, getaway, vacation or a more scenic overnight travel stop to allow you and your fur baby to enjoy some Wyoming open space. A microwave, insta pot, mini fridge and propane grill allow for simple meals to be prepared for inside or outside dining or stop for a meal in any of the communities along your way here. Bring water, cabin is dry and snacks. I do keep some basics in the cabin so if you are traveling grab a meal, snacks and some water, the cabin is stocked with the rest of what you'll need for a night's stay without having to unpack the vehicle. If you're traveling I80, the Little Cabin is a great place to enjoy the sunset or just a peaceful night's sleep after enjoying the Snowy Range Scenic byway in the summer and a possible work around if the interstate is closed in the winter. If you're coming in from Denver/Ft Collins, Co area, Poudre Canyon is a beautiful drive and can take you thru Walden, Co or bring you in on Wyo 10. Feel free to reach out if you have questions on the routes, scenic stops, cut overs or short cuts.
There is Hiking, Fishing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country skiing, Downhill skiing, (Snowy Range Ski Area) Hot Springs, Mountain Lakes, Plains Lakes, the Big Laramie River, all with in a 5-to-90-mile radius. There is public access, dogs allowed, to the Big Laramie River across the highway where you can fish or walk the public access path that runs alongside it.
Watching the wildlife is an experience of its own. From Chipmunks to deer, we see an assortment. If you enjoy birds and their sounds, you can pick a spot and enjoy. If you are a weather watcher, you may see 3-4 seasons in one day depending on the time of year. It's a great place to snuggle in, read a book, write a book, watch a downloaded movie or just sleep, but disconnect from the chaos and the alerts.

Linda's cabin was exactly what we were looking for - a place to get off our phones, relax and have fun with our pup. I spent most of the daylight hours outside wrapped in a blanket on the Adirondack chairs with my furry buddy at my feet.
The cabin is well equipped with a a heater, microwave, mini fridge and electric kettle. There is also a propane BBQ just outside the cabin which we didn't use this trip, but will keep in mind for future visits.
Our pup, Petra, had so much fun and I felt very comfortable having her off leash while exploring the property. She loved the treats Linda left for her each day!
We were very comfortable; it was the perfect getaway.

The cabin was a perfect mountain get away! Linda was extremely helpful, offering detailed directions, fresh cookies and fresh coffee in the morning. The property and view was breathtaking, pictures just don’t do it justice. The drive out is gorgeous and you get right into the mountains and backcountry. Amazing getaway for some peace and star gazing!

Beautiful spot and perfect weekend getaway! Linda is a gem (thank you for the cookies!) and she thought of everything you could possibly need in this little cabin. It was just enough of a disconnect balanced with the modern convenience of electricity. I'm already excited to find a time to go back!

We loved staying at the Little Cabin With a View. Perfect for two people and the dogs had a ton of room to roam. It is a fabulous spot for dogs off the leash. They'd run around and come back...run around some more and come back. Linda is very welcoming and knows the area. And she dropped coffee off outside the door of the cabin every morning!!

2 nights at Little Cabin with a view
We recently spent 3 days-2 nights at the Little Cabin with a View. Our host, Linda, was super welcoming—from the chocolate chip cookies awaiting us when we arrived, to the thermos of hot coffee sitting outside our cabin door each morning. The cabin is indeed little, but quite comfortable and cute. The veranda out the front door of the cabin has a great view of the Laramie River Valley and is the perfect spot to sip your morning coffee. The highlight of our trip was the incredible star gazing from the veranda and the small deck that’s a short walk up the hill from the cabin. We highly recommend the Little Cabin with a View for your next Hipcamp adventure.

We stayed at Linda's little cabin from Saturday to Sunday and it was absolutely beautiful. It exceeded our expectations. Views of the mountains are amazing, the sky was so clear at night, and you can see all the stars. The cabin itself is adorable; she has everything you could need in it. Linda is so sweet, we got caught in a thunderstorm while out exploring and she dried our clothes and sneakers for us. She brought us fresh cookies and coffee. We would absolutely recommend this place; time slows down there. It was such a nice break from the everyday hustle and bustle. We will be back and next time for longer than one night :)

Staying at the Little Cabin on Linda's property was just what the doctor ordered. I highly recommend this spot! Linda's hospitality went above and beyond. From fresh coffee and cookies daily (and treats for our pup!) to recommendations of local spots to check out, everything was perfect. The cabin itself had everything we didn't know we needed and then some. Overall, if you're looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful location with great hospitality, check this place out. Linda’s place is magical! The cabin is cozy and has everything I could have needed for my stay. Linda was an exceptional, warm, and welcoming host that made me feel safe and comfortable traveling solo, and took great care of my senior dog and I with lots of coffee and treats every morning. Sunsets on the gazebo at the top of the hill, walking the property, and watching hummingbirds at the feeder were highlights of our stay ❤️ Will 100% return for another stay!

Absolutely loved this spot! The view alone is worth the trip—a stunning, peaceful vista overlooking rolling hills that made every sunset feel magical. Hummingbirds danced just outside the door, adding an extra touch of charm. The site had just the right amount of amenities to keep packing light and stress-free. Best of all, Linda went above and beyond with thoughtful little treats—for both me and my dog—that made us feel genuinely welcomed and spoiled. Can’t wait to return!

The cabin was unique and clean on a hilltop! Lucky to have perfect weather during our stay. There view was spectacular. We’re able to enjoy the sunset from the porch, and the night sky with lots of stars and moon even inside the cabin. The surroundings is very spacious and fenced for our dog to explore unleashed. And lastly, Linda is definitely a super host. Very accommodating, friendly with a motherly approach. ❤️
