Don’t mess with the bull!Firewood, for $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite. The bags make a great trash bag when empty! Do not bring your own firewood, as we don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds. Due to the high volume of people coming in separate vehicles, after two vehicles per site, its $10.00 per vehicle extra per night. We have portable outhouses available.

We are located one mile south of the Wyoming/Colorado border on the west side of Highway 287, one mile north of the rest area. The elevation is about 7,500 feet. Our property, and the surrounding area, is loaded with stunning granite boulders. This outcropping is part of the Sherman Batholith, (just like Vedauwoo to our north), dated at 1.4 billion years old! There are a variety of trees and abundant wildlife and birds. RVs, pop-up and all styles of towed campers are welcome, except Class A motor homes or low ground clearance vehicles. Our house is uphill and far enough away that you won't see us, but we're available if you need anything. The camping spots are located on the back part of the property and along a refurbished shed that includes 1 added 30 amp plug; interior electric, clean well water delivery or hose filling in warmer months as well as a separately fenced area for visiting canines (Please only non-aggressive breeds unless leashed at your camp). My Golden has an invisible fence and is not allowed to visit campers unless permitted. Fires are only permitted and shared on the back patio of my home. Activities for fun on site include corn hole, firepit on lower patio along with a propane weber grill. Only 2-3 mile from Frontier Park and an electric bike ride to downtown to tour the museums, restaurants and shops.
Currently, new to hip camp and refurbishing the house and exterior so The Shed will be a working/congregating space with refrigerator/freezer, electric cooktop and indoor space with a fan so folks can escape their cars/vans. Wi-Fi is also available in the shed and the surrounding camp areas toward the building.
This was my dream come true property and I'm looking forward to sharing it with road warriors like me. Weather is forever changing here and clouds roll by fast leaving the most fabulous rainbows. I just ask that no fires of any kind be set at your site because the field is a fire hazard in the dry plains.

We are located one mile south of the Wyoming/Colorado border on the west side of Highway 287, one mile north of the rest area. The elevation is about 7,500 feet. Our property, and the surrounding area, is loaded with stunning granite boulders. This outcropping is part of the Sherman Batholith, (just like Vedauwoo to our north), dated at 1.4 billion years old! There are a variety of trees and abundant wildlife and birds. RVs, pop-up and all styles of towed campers are welcome, except Class A motor homes or low ground clearance vehicles. Our house is uphill and far enough away that you won't see us, but we're available if you need anything. The property line is fenced and/or marked, we ask that you stay on our property and keep close contact with your kids and your dogs leashed, or nearby, for their safety... due to abundant wildlife, as well as neighbors with horses and cattle.

My homestead is located on 4 1/2 acres of pastureland that currently have no animals. You will turn on Powell rd to reach the back portion. The camping spots are located on the back part of the property and along a refurbished shed that includes 1 added 30 amp plug; interior electric, clean well water delivery or hose filling in warmer months as well as a separately fenced area for visiting canines (Please only non-aggressive breeds unless leashed at your camp). My Golden has an invisible fence and is not allowed to visit campers unless permitted. Fires are only permitted and shared on the back patio of my home. Activities for fun on site include corn hole, firepit on lower patio along with a propane weber grill. Only 2-3 mile from Frontier Park and an electric bike ride to downtown to tour the museums, restaurants and shops.
Currently, new to hip camp and refurbishing the house and exterior so The Shed will be a working/congregating space with refrigerator/freezer, electric cooktop and indoor space with a fan so folks can escape their cars/vans. Wi-Fi is also available in the shed and the surrounding camp areas toward the building.
This was my dream come true property and I'm looking forward to sharing it with road warriors like me. Weather is forever changing here and clouds roll by fast leaving the most fabulous rainbows. I just ask that no fires of any kind be set at your site because the field is a fire hazard in the dry plains.

The camping spot at Lauren’s place was beautiful and had a nice prairie dog welcoming committee. I got to see a nice sunset and sunrise. First thing’s first: Jana and Tim are the loveliest, most welcoming hosts. One of my favorite parts of this Hipcamp stay was sitting down with them and enjoying conversation over coffee in the morning before I left. They had great stories and helpful tips for exploring the area by bike, as well as a scenic detour (plus hot springs) as I headed toward my next destination. Beyond this, I had a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived. I caught a beautiful sunset while riding along on the surrounding country roads, followed by a hot shower, and slept soundly under thousands of stars with the distant hum of cows. Had access to a super clean porto right at Camp. I chose a spot behind several rows of trees that Tim and Jana planted almost thirty years ago—the whole area felt private, yet expansive. Can’t recommend this camp, and these hosts enough!!

Great if your'e in a self contained rig. No hook ups or amenities, but very cheap, flat, and close to the mountains. Very quiet, lots of prairie dogs and rabbits. Ground did get a little muddy after 2 days straight of rain, but wasn't as bad as it could have been. Communication was pretty minimal, which is no problem for me. Host gave me a dozen eggs i assume they farmed. They had a spigot and a dumpster, but no electric plugins or sewer.

We Loved the dispersed camping experience with the Last Resort. A step back in time camping on a family farm.. BIG SKY.about 3 miles off the interstate 80. All we could hear was crickets.. sunrise and sunset was awesome and Jana and Tim were the warmest of hosts. Tim has a lot of vision for what the property could be and is currently renovating grain bins into cabins.. they have a community fire pit and ensured we had everything we needed. Un expectantly Tim had to help us energize our slide out as out battery went dead.. no problem!
