This is a working cattle ranch, owned by our family for 4 generations. It’s located on clear creek and a historical route used to trail cattle to the nearby railroad to load on the trains. Learn more about this land: We are located near Leiter, Wy 82837 please search this and notice we are remotely located, not close to town. There are multiple spots to pick for pitching a tent. Decide if you’d like to camp on the banks of clear creek or on a top of a hill with a view. If you’re pulling a camper or driving an RV there are 2 easily accessible locations with access to power. Locations are near Clear Creek so you can enjoy playing in the water or take a hike through a pasture. There is a cafe and bar just 4 miles up the road. They also offer shower and laundry services. We are a real working cattle ranch and there is local wildlife to view. Wolf Haven is 3.5 miles away from town for a quiet and peaceful stay. This property is completely large dog-fenced, so your furry friends can stretch their legs when accompanied by the owner. This property features a private covered deck with a grill, or you can use the fire pit and roast hot dogs or marshmallows. Wolf Haven has private access to public lands so if biking or 4 wheeling is your thing we can accommodate. If you are traveling with horses, corrals are available. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Lone Wolf Cabin is a short 200 ft walk up the trail from the parking area. The second cabin to be added is cozy and features a log queen-sized bed and a kitchenette with a larger fridge and cooktop. It is located on a peaceful corner of the RH Ranch, away from the noise of downtown, enjoy the sounds of nature as you sip your coffee on your private porch. As with ll our cabins, this one is also dog-friendly.

Weekend Trip to Cross E Ranch Camping

Cute lil cabin. Given it's on a working ranch, I thought it'd be a bit cleaner - lots of dead moths inside. Land and sunset were gorgeous. the owners were super nice and the homemade lemon Greek yogurt and beef jerky were absolutely delicious.

We loved everything. I am camping with small children (3 and 5). We arrived after dark but our host called us before sunset to make sure we knew how to get to the tipi. I appreciate the call-out in the description that sometimes people ask to peek inside because it wasn't weird when someone did ask the following morning :) The propane fire pit in the center warmed the whole tent up VERY quickly. The beds were comfortable and it was so amazing to have seating and warm blankets and so much space. We would absolutely return if we're back in the area.

We had a lovely couple of nights at this property. The cabin was clean & comfortable with quiet surroundings. The yard is beautiful & spacious, perfect for our dogs to roam about. The kitchen is well equipped, and we were very grateful for the opportunity to do laundry. Proximity to both the mountains & the canyon was a huge perk.

Perfect overnight stop as we passed through. And it would also be a great place to stay and spend more time. The kids loved the tipi and the owners were friendly and kind. Outdoor shower was hot. Land was beautiful. Definitely recommend a stop here!

Very easy process. Everything was just as advertised. The electric heater got it cooking and I slept like a champ on the super soft bed. Woke up to a beautiful morning on the prairie with great views. Would highly recommend!
