It’s high with trees and rocks, beautiful views and amazing starry nights. Camp sites 1 2 3 4 are fairly close together for a family or to circle the wagons. Very nice close hike to a creek. Camp site's 5 and 6 are secluded. They would be best for someone who is self contained, as they don’t have an outhouse nearby. Sites 7 8 9 have some seclusion. Site's 10 11 12 13 14 15 are perfect for families, where you can all be together but separate. We are a work in progress but we will try to accommodate anything you may need. Please talk to us! We have firewood $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite. Do not bring your own firewood. We don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds. More than 2 vehicles per site $10.00 per vehicle per night. A vehicle pulling a trailer counts as 1. A motor home pulling a car or trailer counts as 1. We look forward to hosting you!

Birds of every feather gather here so bring your binoculars. Hikes include balancing boulders and rock formations. Wonderful stargazing, our stars are so bright it seems like you can reach up and touch them. We are a working ranch and do have livestock. Don’t mess with the bull!Firewood, for $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite.   The bags make a great trash bag when empty! Do not bring your own firewood, as we don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds.  Due to the high volume of people coming in separate vehicles, after two vehicles per site, its $10.00 per vehicle extra per night. If you're coming in from Denver/Ft Collins, Co area, Poudre Canyon is a beautiful drive and can take you thru Walden, Co or bring you in on Wyo 10. Feel free to reach out if you have questions on the routes, scenic stops, cut overs or short cuts. There is Hiking, Fishing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country skiing, Downhill skiing, (Snowy Range Ski Area) Hot Springs, Mountain Lakes, Plains Lakes, the Big Laramie River, all with in a 5-to-90-mile radius. There is public access, dogs allowed, to the Big Laramie River across the highway where you can fish or walk the public access path that runs alongside it. Watching the wildlife is an experience of its own. From Chipmunks to deer, we see an assortment. If you enjoy birds and their sounds, you can pick a spot and enjoy. If you are a weather watcher, you may see 3-4 seasons in one day depending on the time of year. It's a great place to snuggle in, read a book, write a book, watch a downloaded movie or just sleep, but disconnect from the chaos and the alerts.

Step out the door of this cozy little rustic, dry, one room mountainside cabin, to disconnect from Wi-Fi (none) and chaos to view sunsets, wide open, star filled, and moon lit night skies with the Milky Way and a few satellites as a bonus. The Little Cabin offers a mountainside basecamp, getaway, vacation or a more scenic overnight travel stop to allow you and your fur baby to enjoy some Wyoming open space. A microwave, insta pot, mini fridge and propane grill allow for simple meals to be prepared for inside or outside dining or stop for a meal in any of the communities along your way here. Bring water, cabin is dry and snacks. I do keep some basics in the cabin so if you are traveling grab a meal, snacks and some water, the cabin is stocked with the rest of what you'll need for a night's stay without having to unpack the vehicle. If you're traveling I80, the Little Cabin is a great place to enjoy the sunset or just a peaceful night's sleep after enjoying the Snowy Range Scenic byway in the summer and a possible work around if the interstate is closed in the winter. If you're coming in from Denver/Ft Collins, Co area, Poudre Canyon is a beautiful drive and can take you thru Walden, Co or bring you in on Wyo 10. Feel free to reach out if you have questions on the routes, scenic stops, cut overs or short cuts. There is Hiking, Fishing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country skiing, Downhill skiing, (Snowy Range Ski Area) Hot Springs, Mountain Lakes, Plains Lakes, the Big Laramie River, all with in a 5-to-90-mile radius. There is public access, dogs allowed, to the Big Laramie River across the highway where you can fish or walk the public access path that runs alongside it. Watching the wildlife is an experience of its own. From Chipmunks to deer, we see an assortment. If you enjoy birds and their sounds, you can pick a spot and enjoy. If you are a weather watcher, you may see 3-4 seasons in one day depending on the time of year. It's a great place to snuggle in, read a book, write a book, watch a downloaded movie or just sleep, but disconnect from the chaos and the alerts.

Our property, and the surrounding area, is loaded with stunning granite boulders. This outcropping is part of the Sherman Batholith, (just like Vedauwoo to our north), dated at 1.4 billion years old! There are a variety of trees and abundant wildlife and birds. RVs, pop-up and all styles of towed campers are welcome, except Class A motor homes or low ground clearance vehicles. Our house is uphill and far enough away that you won't see us, but we're available if you need anything. Linda's cabin was exactly what we were looking for - a place to get off our phones, relax and have fun with our pup. I spent most of the daylight hours outside wrapped in a blanket on the Adirondack chairs with my furry buddy at my feet. The cabin is well equipped with a a heater, microwave, mini fridge and electric kettle. There is also a propane BBQ just outside the cabin which we didn't use this trip, but will keep in mind for future visits. Our pup, Petra, had so much fun and I felt very comfortable having her off leash while exploring the property. She loved the treats Linda left for her each day! We were very comfortable; it was the perfect getaway.

We loved our stay at Rockaway! Lots of privacy and quiet. Our dog was able to enjoy all the space we had to play fetch. Brenda gave us our privacy but also reached out to check in on us when the weather turned for a bit. Lots of thoughtful details to make the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. We had such a great stay at the Blue Moon Cabin! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The view was gorgeous and the cabin was very private. We really enjoyed the outdoor lounge area with the fire table. The outdoor shower was really a fun experience too! Highly recommend!

We ended up staying at site 4 after the owner's recommendation and it was a nice big site with a firepit, a great view of the mountains, and lots of rocks/boulders for kids to explore. We did hear and could see the highway but we weren't right on top of it - need to go to sites 6 and on to avoid it. Had one issue with dogs barking at night that the owner replied to and is working on it. No picnic table but we always bring a portable one so there was no issue for us. The site fit a 16' camper as well as a camper van still with plenty of room for privacy for each camper. Would stay again.
