There is a tri-pod for cooking. The cabin comes equipped with 3 cots and a full futon. It sleeps up to 4 people. No linens or pillows are provided, so be sure to pack your sleeping bag. My husband and I work and live in Africa during the school year. We have 3 young boys and wanted them to be able to have a large place to explore and play, and learn to camp and enjoy nature. We purchased this cabin in 2021 from the original owners who built the home. We fell in love with the design of the cabin and the windows which allow great views of the river and wildlife. There is an Artesian well that is 200 feet deep in the granite ledge that the cabin sits on. Artesian wells are more common in sand and very uncommon in granite. This well provides some of the best water you’ll ever taste.The cabin has total privacy with no neighbors on either side. There are a couple cabins across the river and just north of the cabin that are visible when at the river's edge.The total acreage is approximately 6.5 with 300 feet of river frontage. The cabin is set back from the river, yet maintains a view of the river. At the river’s edge there is a picnic area deck with table and chairs.The land is wooded with a mix of small pine, some large pine old growth and hardwood. There are walking paths throughout the wooded lot. There are no houses on either side of the lot. It is not uncommon to see a lot of wildlife. There are many deer, grouse, eagles that nest just up the river, and an occasional bear. The 6.5 acres that the cabin sits on abuts 1500 acres of undeveloped land.

This cabin is so lovely and cozy! I was concerned about being warm enough in late March but I had no need to be. The gas fireplace keeps the cabin incredibly toasty. The creekside fire pit is picturesque. I enjoyed making a morning fire and watching the creek flow by as it gently began to snow. This was the perfect spot for a weekend of quiet reflection. Truly magical! Thank you!

Absolutely loved the space. Tucked away and got a good taste of what life (almost off grid) was like. The outdoor shower was a fun and the night sky was beautiful as we sat around the fire. There’s a boat and kayak at the end of the trail to take out on the little lake nearby. Close to so much but far enough where it was peaceful.

We really enjoyed the Northern Lights Campground. It is close enough to everything you need and somehow super remote! We had so much fun on the lake with the canoe & kayak. We saw a whole flock of swans. Plus, the view of the sky was just what we were looking for! Eric was very helpful communication wise and answered all questions timely. We would definitely stay again in future years.

Jolene was great and very hospitable! A welcome retreat near the cities. Beautiful property, lovely host, cozy cabin.
Really loved sitting on the deck in the matching rocking chairs. Enjoyed the amazing breeze when windows open. Comfortable sleeping options (including the futon). Very easy walk from the parking area to the cabin. Path is compacted and wide. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Very impressed! Also many gorgeous wildflowers and wildlife around.
Only thing to be mindful of is the compost toilet is taller because of its design, so those with mobility limitations should just be aware. (Sturdy step-stool is provided). That being said, it is a really nice compost toilet.
