Terra Growers is a 100 year-old certified organic family farm located in Springfield WI near Madison. We keep bees, raise free-range chickens and Mangalitsa pigs, and cultivate an extensive variety of orchards, berries and vegetables. Terra Growers features campsites, drive-up and RV sites, and an on-farm store that is open year-round. Our campsites feature comfy sand foundations, shade, privacy, views, and fire pits (if your preferred site doesn’t already have one, we’ll build you one). Most of our sites are “walk up” (we have a hand trolley you can use and/or we’re happy to assist), unfurnished, and have some distant road noise depending on the location of the campsite you choose. If you have specific needs please don’t hesitate to inquire prior to booking your stay. Kindly review our refund policy prior to booking. In the event of foul weather, we can offer a rain check. Enjoy a quiet, secluded stay in an adorable farm chic vintage camper on our organic farm.
You'll have absolute privacy with a view of Wisconsin's Driftless area right outside your door.
Walk just a little ways from your lodging site and enjoy the beauty of a working organic vegetable farm. Walk along the headlands along the tomatoes, around to the melons.... expect a fresh veggie snack or two!
Just west of the camper we have a cozy fire pit and chairs to gaze at the sunset.
You can be as much in the farm or away from the farm as you please!
Being in the Driftless area, there are endless recreational opportunities surrounding us. Bikers enjoy the challenging driftless hills OR the nearby flat rail to trail opportunities. Challenge yourself with 40 miles of hills OR ride an easy trail to restaurants and live music in Paoli. Hikers can enjoy several Ice Age Trail sections as well as several county and state parks nearby, like Olson Oak Woods or Cross Plains State Park. Paddlers have easy access to the Wisconsin River and area lakes - Wingra being a fun easy favorite!
Want to glamp and enjoy Madison's nightlife? We are just 30 minutes from Downtown Madison and its amazing restaurants and concert scene. Farm to Table restaurants? We've got you. Talented mixologists? We'll point the way. Best pizza in town? Best outdoor venue? We are close to it all and happy to guide you.
Alternatively, if you are wanting a calm, beautiful place to be away for a night or two, our stay is that as well.

Such an adorable cozy and lovely area! The accommodations were nice and everything was well kept and clean and organized, lovely hosts as well! Would totally come back for sure during spring or summer season, came during harsh rain and wasn’t able fully explore and stay on site but was still such a nice experience! They also have a small shop and we were able to buy pumpkins! Very cute! Very lovely!

We really enjoyed our weekend here! We were close to Middleton, we enjoyed seeing the animals frequently on the farm, and the hosts were great communicators and very welcoming! There was a bit of walking (maybe 1/4 mile?) between the parking area and the camp site, which made setting up a bit difficult, but not terrible. Our site was private and spacious. There was definitely traffic noise, which we didn't mind and at night was like a white noise machine. The only bathroom was an outhouse, which my 10 year old struggled with, but that builds character right? :D

I loved camping at Terra! So peaceful. There was some road noise, but that was fine. We set up really late, so we took the closest site to the parking lot. Would come back again!

The man that showed us around was very friendly. There were several sites to choose from. We found a large, flat space to set up camp. The bugs were minimal and there was a fire ring. The space was very private and safe. The walk from the car was pretty long though and most of it uphill. Also that is where the toilet is located.

Stayed here for the second time and it was great! I had a nice, tucked in spot where I felt I had privacy but also just a short walk to the outhouse. Outhouse is clean and well stocked with everything you may need. I did not end up using the shower, but there is one if you need it. I had a nice walk around the property with the owner who told me all about his farm - which was very cool. Saw some lil piggies, dogs, tons of wildlife...all around great trip. As a solo, female traveler I did feel safe at this location.

I did not get to take advantage of the complete property due to recent flooding in the area. Our host made this issue very clear to me before I came up though. My wife and I were exploring Janesville and just needed a place for the night. It was a perfect weekend. The weather was so nice. It was so quiet there. The way the campsite was set up allowed the wind to just go straight through our camper. I was greeted by a couple of wagging tail camp ambassadors while walking the driveway. They were very friendly. I would definitely go back if i had plans to be in the area.
