Our property was a small family farm for several generations. Our family purchased the property about 18 years ago. Since we are not farmers but love living here, the question became "What would be the best use for the land?" Living in a scenic area and already being in the vacation rental business on some other family property answered the question. We decided to share the beautiful view and seclusion of our area with others. Our goal was to keep the cost of building down so that we could pass on the savings to you so that you would not have to be rich to enjoy our lovely area. This inspired the idea of a glamping cabin. The cabin is actually a repurposed office building that was built about the time this property was purchased by our family. We moved it to the present location and completely remodelled it in 2018 and added the bathroom. For 4 years, guests enjoyed an off-the-grid experience. In 2023, when we began work on the glamping dome (stay tuned--coming soon!!), we decided to add electricity, running water, and a hot tub to the tiny house! We hope you enjoy the cabin (and, soon, the dome) and the stunning view from them as much as we enjoy sharing this beautiful spot with you! Note: The Charming Glamping Cabin is at a totally different property. That property also has a section that used to be farmed. Now a lot of it is forest. We purchased the property around 2000. This cabin was built approx. 10 years later. At that point, the cabin was a tiny economy cabin with a sofa bed. However, it seemed most folks preferred comfort over economy, so in 2020, we added a bump-out to the side of the cabin so there would be room for a queen bed. Guests have loved the improvement. We offer 2 unique rentals located just minutes from Seneca Rocks, WV. The Renovated Barn is an actual barn, located on a little farm, complete with farm animals! Goats, chickens, peacocks, ducks, and a pig live at the other side of the barn. The Barn is located on a one acre lot, shared with the host's home. I give guests privacy while they are here, but I do come out to the barnyard twice a day to feed and tend the animals. The Renovated Smokehouse is located next door on a 2 acre lot, shared with another rental, the Renovated Farmhouse. The Smokehouse is a charming 2 story cottage that fits into the category of "Tiny House." The animals' grazing area is between the two places, so guests of both can enjoy their company daily. Stayed here over this past weekend and was very impressed. Price was very reasonable and accommodations were significantly better than expected - everything was very nice and included an excellent grill, good furniture/bedding, and a kitchen stocked with the essentials (pots, pans, utensils, coffee makers [Keurig and regular coffee pot], and so on). The cabin itself is at the end of the other lodges - so it's a bit more private - which is also nice. Additionally, when we first arrived the hot tub was not hot. I called the front desk, and they came out with 30 minutes and fixed the issue, and it warmed up by evening. Great service and the staff were super friendly. Also, the river is only about 30 feet away from the cabin. We did lots of fishing and it was awesome to have it so close to our location.

I will definitely be returning here. The location is perfect near the river and has many options for sight seeing. The host is wonderful and very friendly. If you’re looking for a real get away from the busy and electronic filled life this is the place to stay.

A lovely place to camp if you want a mix of wilderness and amenities! It was so convenient to have firewood, faucets, and a cafe on site. The cabin was perfect for staying warm, dry, and safe at night! The area has plenty of recreational activities.

I had a great stay here! The hosts greeted me with a sweet birthday bag, which was such a thoughtful touch. The yurt itself was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities you could need, including cooking pans and utensils. I especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while listening to the peaceful sounds of nature. Check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow, and they even included directions to the yurt, which made everything seamless. Overall, a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

2 nights at Revelle's River Resort

My fiance and I (along with our two dogs) booked the Yurt for our of stay while we explored the beautiful mountains of WV after a fresh coat of snow. We had booked our stay during the middle of a significant winter storm and delayed our drive. We messages Shawn and Catherine and they were very quick to respond back to us while we figured out our travel plans. They even started the pellet stove so that we could get some much needed warmth in the well-beyond zero temperatures outside. Our Yurt was very well maintained and came with all the necessities for our stay. We enjoyed the Roku TV they have set up so you can cozy up in bed or on the pull-out futon. We also got to have the experience of going out to our hot tub while the wind chill was in the negatives! Check out was very easy and Shawn and Catherine gave use plenty of instruction for our check in and check out. Overall, I think this may have been one of our best “camping” experiences. This was our first time staying in a Yurt as we typically stay in a dome. The pellet stove was an absolute necessity and we had more than enough fuel to fight the cold. Shawn and Catherine were fantastic hosts and we look forward to our next stay here!! Thank you again! Clay & Jane

1 night at Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Camp

If I could give 100 stars I would. This location is on a dead end Street on a beautiful river. They have many acres and it will look like you are going to nowhere but you are going somewhere Awesome! I went in early January, snow on the ground when I arrived..I was in a very low car and still arrived safely. The roads were clean, even if narrow, which is to be expected in the area. Mountain roads are a great experience! I was staying just one night on a trip that I wish I had more time to stay here on! The campground itself is described as primitive maybe because of the amenities, but I had close to everything needed and was advised to bring stuff that wasn’t provided. So I was good to go. I booked the heated and electric supplied tiny cabin specifically because I knew I would be traveling in January and needed to recharge. The temperature overnight was I think in the 40s, my little heater ran all night long. I had blankets and I was comfortable. At one point I was actually hot. A overnight rainstorm washed away most of the snow and any threat of ice and then the next morning was absolutely stunning! Fire Island and the river access and the buses and the teepee look like something I want to do in the spring or summer! The coffee hut was open 24 seven and the firewood was plentiful. I had the entire place almost to myself with the exception of the “staff/owner”. But I was completely able to self check in and stay independently. Vince checked in but it’s very well marked.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Tiny Home. Kent was incredibly gracious to us and we are very grateful to everyone’s assistance to enable us to charge our vehicle. The tiny home was perfect and cozy with the most spectacular views. We would stay again!

Weekend Trip to Olde Tyme Cabins

The location was perfect! We felt secluded in our little camp and were able to hike up the hillside nearby. We loved the campfire with the lights strung around, and there were roasting sticks in one of the RV cubbies. The hot tub was amazing. We did get rained out of the hot tub, since there is no awning over it, but once the rain stopped, we were able to enjoy again. The master bed was comfortable, and the bunk beds have a curtain to keep lights out for later sleepers. We camped in mid-November and stayed warm and cozy the whole time. Our only complaint was the water. It never quite worked well enough to shower, and washing dishes was frustrating. We did let our hosts know, and they came quickly to work on it, which helped for a short while, but didn't last the duration.
