We are an 8 minute drive from Rush Off-Road - a 7,000 acre off-road park with over 100 miles of trails with new trails being opened up regularly.
The RV sites can accommodate up to a 50 ft RV or trailer as well as parking for an additional car or truck. The site dimensions are 30ft wide by 60ft long.
Your RV/trailer must be self-contained as we do not have a toilet onsite. The sites are flat and guests will have to back-in.

Our farm is also home to a miniature horse and chickens.
In addition to the NRG and Summersville Lake and Dam, also close by are Carnifex Ferry Battleground State Park where you can see where a crucial civil war battle took place, as well as Babcock State Park with its iconic grist mill and waterfall.
We provide 5 sites on our farm for every camping style, from electric and water RV hookup, dry RV to tent, each with a canopy shelter, table, fire pit and grill. All sites are spaciously separate from one another for privacy and perfect for couples who want to get away from it all, or for families or groups of friends who want to reconnect and catch up.
Clean portajohns are provided as well as a common area with a dishwashing station and a "to die for" outdoor hot water shower (above-freezing temperatures permitting)! Dishwashing station and hot water shower does not apply to the Gauley River Adventure site.

Camping at Possum Holler Camp will provide you the perfect blend of solitude and recreation access. You will have private access to beautiful and idyllic Mill Creek, which has many beautiful emerald pools and is even seasonally stocked with rainbow trout! Within a mile you can access the New River Gorge Bridge and the Canyon Rim Visitor Center, and you are equally close to the park's world class climbing, rafting, hiking, ziplining, and mountain biking at the New River Gorge National Park and surrounding areas. Your group will have the entire camp to yourselves, so there's no need to worry about noisy neighbors.
Our driveway has recently been revamped to include more flat parking and a less steep access route! While these improvements are great, we still caution our guests to avoid bringing large trailers and to use 4WD if available in an attempt to minimize rutting in the future.
Seasoned hardwood firewood is available on site for $6/bundle. You are allowed to bring your own firewood, but only if you source your firewood locally because invasive pest species can travel in firewood.
Possum Holler Camp is a Leave No Trace campsite, guests are asked to pack out anything they bring in and leave the area undisturbed. This includes damaging vegetation, creating new fire rings, or altering the natural area in any way. Also, please do not camp in the meadow area and only use the cleared out areas in the woods surrounding the parking and picnic/fire area for pitching tents.
If you stay below the high water line, then feel free to move as far up or downstream Mill Creek as you like. The creek is indescribably beautiful in both directions! But please keep in mind that there is private property once you are above the high water line, please do not trespass on our neighbor's property.

This primitive retreat is nestled along the Elk River in northern Kanawha County, surrounded by both full-time residents and seasonal campsites.
Pitch a tent or hang a hammock along the riverbank! You're also welcome to camp almost anywhere on the property if you'd prefer a mountainside setting.
A lightly traveled dirt road runs through the property. While an SUV or 4x4 vehicle is recommended, regular cars can access the site. Please note that campers and ATVs are not permitted.
Our property is a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts, but we don't have enough parking space to accommodate ATVs.
During your stay, you'll have foot access to the river and plenty of places to explore. Feel free to bring your fishing gear, kayaks, bicycles, and other outdoor equipment. If you have any questions or special requests, please reach out—we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
The nearest town is Clendenin, WV, where you'll find gas stations, restaurants, a grocery store, and access to the Elk River Trail. Nearby attractions include the Elk River Trail, Rail Explorers, Carol's Crossroads Restaurant in Maysel, and the upcoming Dundon Trailhead in Clay, operated by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.
Several DNR river access sites are also nearby, including Queen Shoals and King Shoals. If we're out of rental equipment, you'll find additional watercraft rental options in the area, including Elk River Get-A-Way in Clendenin.

Things to Note
Because this is a nature-based site, you may encounter bugs, mosquitoes, ticks, poison ivy, snakes (including the occasional copperhead), deer, raccoons, skunks, and other local wildlife.
We do our best to keep poison ivy cleared from most areas and are continuously working on copperhead control as we encounter them. Please plan accordingly—bring bug spray, keep food secured from animals, and dress appropriately when walking in wooded areas to avoid poison ivy and snakes.

Basic with hook ups. Screen shoot password and other info you need because cell service is very spotty. I have T-Mobile. Sites are gravel, quite wide, long and level. Neighbor who helps look after the place was very helpful.
