We enjoyed our long weekend camping here very much! It's a beautiful spot, especially in the fall. There was plenty of room to park our 25' camper beside the pond. Devin was helpful in finding some spots to go hiking.

I was blessed to spend a few days at Devin's property. The drive up can be a bit rutted, but we pulled an 18-foot travel trailer up in the dark. I recommend arriving during the day unless you are familiar with the site. The site is secluded but close enough to a few homes or camps, so I felt safe being there alone. It is level with a beautiful pond, fire pit, picnic table and is surrounded by trees. This is the perfect off grid/rustic camping spot. I was able to warm shower water and put out our solar panels to charge things up very easily. There is a nice amount of shade and sun. I had cell service (T-Mobile). There are several lakes and mountain roads leading to overlooks and picnic areas right across Highway 220. And even though this area is rural, there are several discount food stores and other retail stores with a 15-30 minute drive. Devin was very kind and responsive to my questions. We will definitely be back to stay again in the future!

We stayed on our way to NC, and at last minute decided we were going to leave a day early, being so we didn’t want to dip into vacation money for a hotel. This place was perfect for what we needed & the dogs loved it! It was very quiet and peaceful. It was a little difficult to find but the host came out and guided us there! Which, SPECIAL THANKS because it was nearly midnight & we drove 4 hours after working all day!(turns out we just didn’t go up the road far enough!) if you put in the address and follow a gps like we did, you’ll go past the address and keep to the right, when you start to think you’re going down the hill, and “this can’t be right”, keep going it will be down on your left!!

The communication was amazing. We hiked pretty late and could not find any available camping spots and didnt want to drive late into the night to get home. Ricky was fast to respond and was very accommodating to let us stay on his farm to have a place to set up tent and camp. His directions were good, and he was very helpful with getting us to the farm in the dark. The farm is great and has amazing views. Wish we could have stayed longer but it ended up pouring on us and we had to head home early.

5 stars! Tim was a lovely and accommodating host. We were delighted by the cleanliness and utility of the bathhouse/lodge/kitchen, and sleeping in the caboose was super fun for the kids. The site has river access, gorgeous river views, and is nice and shady. A short walk away (maybe 2-3 blocks) there’s also a fun playground. The site is located very near the famous B&O railroad and the train came by a few times per day (and night) which was pretty loud. It didn’t bother us but if you’re a sensitive sleeper it might be something to be aware of. If you are a fan of trains you’ll love it!

Lovely spot to tent camp. Lots of shady trees. There is a dirt road that runs by the campsite to other properties, but the people who passed by were very friendly..they either waved at us or blew their car horns. There is a small pond on the site. It was cloudy looking. I suppose from recent rains, but we were able to spot a few fish that almost looked like koi fish. They were either yellow or bright orange in color. We enjoyed sitting by the campfire each day. As I said i
t is a nice spot for tent camping, but I wouldn't recommend RV camping at this time. Due to driving a full mile on a road full of deep ruts, again due to recent rains. Devin had warned us of this, but we were willing to try. Devin is very kind and communications with him were great.
